Luck/ Wealth Longevity Plaque (China)

Add old world charm to any room with this Luck/Wealth Longevity plaque.

The plaque was fashioned after a Ming dynasty style Chinese calligraphy wall plaque. The piece expresses wishes for good luck, wealth and long life. Each character is hand-carved, finished and mounted on a finely crafted plaque with a matte walnut finish. The plaque has two geometric brass hangers for easy mounting.

The Story Behind the Product

This factory is located in the Guangdong region of mainland China. The father is the main person in charge and employs many family members. Day to day operations are run by an aunt while the son is being groomed to take over once his father retires - all of this family greatly adds to the quality and productivity of this factory. Over 300 skilled and non-skilled craftsman work together, passing knowledge and craftsmanship from generation to generation. The working conditions of this group are excellent. The factory provides an excellent lunch each day for the staff. Attending strictly to the local and international anti-dumping and fair trade practice laws, Oriental Homes is proud to bring a piece of their culture into your home.

Beautiful wood with nice metal accents (used to hang the plaque). The color is great - the only thing I would change about this product is the length - I wish it was longer. Very nice - highly recommended.

Nice product, loved it, it looks great in my living room. The only thing that bugged me a little was the plate behind the plaque, was skewed, like buckled up because of poor cut of the wood, or screwing it unevenly.

I truly like the plaque and the sentiment it expresses. It is well made and there is no assembly reguired which makes it an even better value. I purchased it as a gift for a friend. It fits well with any decor so yes I do recommend it.
