Disappointing

Real Name

Sadly Target only sells 1 brand of portable cassette players, a low-quality Chinese made brand, Jenson. I bought this because there were no other choices and was disappointed. The radio part does not have the best reception and the cassette player is worse. After only 2-3 songs it will start to have a high-pitched whine and buzzing noise. The battery dies quick when playing a cassette (even though Duracell was used). Avoid this brand and buy Sony if possible from another store.

Not what they used to be, but one of the better ones left

The portable cassette players aren't as nice as they used to be but compared to what's out there now this one is wonderful. The quality is better than the last brand I purchased (and immediately took back). The headphones have good sound quality. It doesn't have a rewind button, which seems odd but I guess we are supposed to turn the tape over and fast forward it. The "bass boost" is a joke. It sounds the same with or without it. You can't adjust the bass or tremble, it's either on "bass boost" or not. For the price and compared to what's out there it's fine, though.
