This dress is just great. Super cute on just like the picture looks. I am kind of a bigger girl, size 16 with a rather large chest and the dress fits great, very true to size. The only bad thing I found with it is the crazy zipper. You just have to take your time with it. I didn't mind the plain belt. And I crazy love the pockets. I am planning on wearing this dress to all of my holiday functions this year and maybe next. I couldn't be happier. :)

This dress is awesome! Very comparable for a fraction of the price. Fits true to size...it's just a little too long on me, but I"m 5'2" (nothing a tailor can't fix). HIGHLY RECOMENDED!

With SO many weddings coming up, I wanted to find a cute but affordable dress to wear. When I saw this one online and read the reviews, I fell in love! I've never ordered clothing online before, so I was a little nervous to do so. But I took the suggestions from the other reviews on sizing - measured myself according to the size chart & it fits true to size, in my case! I'm 5'7", about 155lbs give or take, waist 34, chest 38, hip 39. I almost ordered a 10, but I'm SO happy I ordered the 12...there is plenty of room but doesn't look too big, I think the 10 might have fit but would have been too tight. It's adorable on...and I actually don't mind the belt, but might use a different one, we'll see. I might wear it with pearls & black shoes - or I was thinking of doing yellow shoes w/a yellow belt - undecided. Either way, it's totally adorable on, doesn't make me look bigger or anything, and there's room to breathe. It falls right to my knee & makes my legs look great, to my surprise! :) This would make a GREAT dress for bridesmaids or any formal occasion...you could dress it up or down. Classic look, and I feel SO good in it. This dress rocks! Can't beat the price, either!

I LOVE THIS DRESS! It is my "go to" Black dress for cocktail events. Recently wore it to the New York Women In Film and TV annual luncheon. Everyone always gushes about it and thinks it is much more expensive! Many have also compared it to Audrey Hepburn's dress in "Breakfast at Tiffany's". Recently got another one in dark Pink and even considering the cream or the pink slip for spring. There are some zipper issues (especially with my dark pink one)-- it gets stuck once past the waist but it is well worth the money.

I love this dress too! I just wore it New Year's Eve and got so many compliments on it. I am in my 50's and I was told by several 'younger' people that I looked gorgeous. Made me feel like a million bucks. My husband beamed with pride and that was wonderful. We went to a club where young and older people were. Everyone was dressed differently and I fit in just great! No matter where you're going to wear it. DO dance up a storm. I did and don't forget to twirl!! One more thing about the zipper.. [...] just put the zipper down to where the problem (waist) begins?? I did and pulled it up no problem and no frustration for my husband either. [...]

I've been looking for a good all around little black dress and this one fits the bill. I've had it hanging in the closet for a while now and finally pulled it out for a dressier work holiday party. I loved wearing it so much. My size 8 (5'5", 140lb) fit perfectly. The hem hit right around my knees and the arms/neck were very comfortable. I'll agree with other reviewers that the zipper is a little temperamental, just be patient and gentle. The pockets are wonderful! They are full and well placed. I honestly could have gone without a bag and stashed my ID, lipstick, etc. in the pockets. They also a unique detail since the dress is fairly plain. I think the fabric is really nice for the price point of this dress and the satin detailing around the hem is attractive and makes the skirt have a nice swing to it. The only gripe I have is that the belt that comes with this dress isn't as high of quality as the dress itself. I ended up replacing it with grosgrain ribbon and that worked nicely, but the dress lends itself well to endless options for the belt. Overall this dress is fantastic and I'm considering buying it in another color to wear to summer/spring events as well.

I needed a cocktail dress for an upcoming dinner cruise. I had mixed feelings at first when I ordered this dress. I thought it was cute but was concerned when I read some of the reviews (zipper issues, fit, etc.). I also have a "hard to fit" body type so normally I don't buy clothes without trying them on. I received the dress yesterday and it fits perfect! I am 5'10" and 180. I wear anywhere from a 12 to 14 so I went with the 14 since most people said to go a size bigger. I wear a 36 C and the chest fits great. I was worried that the dress would be too short, since I am so tall, but it hit right at my knees which was great. I am short waisted so the high waist works perfect for me. I would definitely suggest buying a wide belt (in a different color than the dress) to give it a little something extra. I plan on getting a red or white belt and wearing red satin pumps. The collar is high cut but I didn't find it "choking" as some reviewers said. The zipper is a little hard to get up but I really didn't have any huge issues with it. I gave it only 4 stars because (and this is my only complaint) the description says it is Taffeta, but it is more like Nylon (think wind suits) but thicker and not as noisy. My husband is in the Military and I have to attend a lot of formal and semi-formal functions, so this dress will be getting a lot of use. By using different accessories each time I can make it look like a whole new dress!

After reading all the reviews on here I bought this dress with an open mind. I am quite happy to say that it's great. My zipper has no issues (might just have gotten lucky there). The skirt is full and the waist is high. Know that going into it and you'll be happily surprised too. I have two kids so I have that baby belly that just never seems to go away and this dress hides it perfectly. I'm 5ft 5in tall and weigh 145lbs. I generally wear a size 6 or 8. I bought the 8 b/c I wanted to have some wiggle room after eating. The material is a bit shiny and noisy (it's taffeta people) but not overly so. All in all, for $50, it's definitely worth a try. And it's always returnable!

I bought this dress for a really fancy Bar Mitzvah. I received it today and I absolutely love it!! I bought and returned about 4 other dresses from [brand name stores].. and this dress from Target (shocked!) is the absolute perfect dress. It is so comfortable and soooo cute! I am very excited to wear it!
