Not from the chefs!

Reviewer:  Mom of Two "Jordana V."  (New York New York)  See all my reviews

My husband and I bought this toaster oven about a year and half ago.... It has been great... Since it heats up fast we don't have to wait for it to preheat as we do with the big oven.... It makes it easier and faster to make meals for my sons (3 1/2 and 20 months).... my only complaint is that it was working two days ago and yesterday when I went to use it, it was no longer working.... I still loved it though.!

Excellent little oven!

Reviewer:  ikillbugs  (Dallas, TX)  See all my reviews

I read over some of the reviews and can't say I have seen any of the negatives listed... with the exception of the "TOAST" feature. It will turn bread rock hard before it's done. Solution: Use "GRILL" instead. Man oh man... some tasty garlic bread on "GRILL" for 5 minutes... MMMMMM MMMM yummy perfect.

I have used this oven to bake small pizzas, casseroles, etc etc. Whatever will fit in here that I would normally use my regular oven for goes in here without heating the entire kitchen.

Two Thumbs up!

You'll end up returning it

Reviewer:  Stategirl  See all my reviews

When I bought this it said that it might smoke a little the first few time of using it. A little is a big understatment. It set off the smoke alarms (just while it was preheating) the first time I turned it on. So I tried it again thinking it was going to smoke as bad...same thing. Tried it one last time and let it smoke for a while thinking it would eventually stopped (all while just letting it preheat/having nothing in there) and it still set off my smoke alarm

Poorly Made and a Waste of Money

Reviewer:  Zenlily  (Tacoma, WA United States)  See all my reviews

Within a month of owning this unit, the timer stopped dinging and the unit kept on cooking unless we put it on for more than ten minutes or remembered to turn it off manually. Within 6 months, the fan decided to only work intermittently. We have had it just under a year, and yesterday, the fan/motor unit started smoking and I had to turn it off for fear of burning my kitchen down. I'm kicking myself for not returning it when things first started going bad (at that point, I had already returned another overpriced toaster elsewhere and desperately needed a working toaster. Lesson learned). Also, the toast option completely dried out the bread (as opposed to a light toasting with some remaining springiness).

Great Toaster Oven!

Reviewer:  AirForceWife86 "Destiny D"  (Pleasant Hill, IA)  See all my reviews

My husband & I received this toaster oven as a wedding gift almost one year ago and have used it several times per week since then. I also grew up using a toaster oven and so I had seen many different toaster ovens before this one. I love the way it looks on my counter especially how it matches my other appliances. It is large enough to cook many various things but they did a great job in designing it to not take up any more room than necessary. I saw some other reviews that had commented on the time it takes to toast a piece of bread but I haven't had any problems with mine, it toasts, bakes, broils, etc. just fine. I also haven't experienced the other problems such as timer not working or unit not shutting off properly which is odd since I would say we use ours above average compared to most families!

Best little toaster oven

Reviewer:  J and R  See all my reviews

I've had this oven for at least two years...it's wonderful! My timer does "ding" (unlike some other reviews say) and it works perfectly, heating up very nicely. My husband and I usually use it for garlic bread, french bread pizzas, and snack foods.

The tray cleans up very nicely and can be washed in the dishwasher too.

The top does get hot, so make certain you don't place anything on it while it's cooking or cooling.

Overall it's a great appliance. I would recommend it to everyone!

Not worth it

Reviewer:  stingercraig "stinger"  (vista, ca, usa)  See all my reviews

I've owned this toaster oven for about 1 1/2 years. It takes too long to toast even a piece of toast. The temp. switch is broken so I don't know what temp it is set at. It turns off without a ding. I would spend a little more money next time for something that will last and work better.

excellent for the price

Reviewer:  Linda B  (Baltimore, MD)  See all my reviews

I've had this toaster/oven for almost a year. It's an excellent value. Please remember the price when setting your expectations. The timer works just fine--it doesn't ding, but just turns off. The convection setting cooks things very rapidly so you need to adjust your cooking time accordingly. It's a little too small to bake a loaf of bread, but works well for small cakes, pies and cookies. Since I got it, I rarely use my big oven. When I first got it, I kept burning my fingers on the handle because the outside of the oven gets pretty hot, but the tool that comes with it for pulling out the racks, works great for opening the door. Also, the racks don't slide in and out very easily--you have to slide them carefully to keep them on track. It doesn't radiate much heat so it's great for summer baking. It has a crumb tray (albeit it a little flimsy) that pulls out completely for easy cleaning. All-in-all, it is an excellent value.

Too Many Flaws

Reviewer:  Blondefish  (Basking Ridge, New Jersey)  See all my reviews

I started out loving this toaster oven, but soon realized its various flaws, which outweighed the benefits. The timer often just stops ticking and the appliance just shuts off. This is about 8/10 tries at using it. Also the convection fan fails to start up about half the time, and subsequently the heat doesn't go on either. So, the timer might be ticking, but the appliance isn't actually on. Too many flaws to be a worthwhile purchase. I've struggled for about a year with these problems and I'm finally giving in and going to find a new brand. Not worth the trouble.

Fire Hazard!!!

Reviewer:  c  (NC)  See all my reviews

We purchased this about a month ago. When you set it to toast the timer either doesn't start ticking or simply stops - but the oven never turns off! It just stays on until you shut it off manually. We checked that all the settings were correct and tried different dark/light options. It just doesn't work. Last night we were busy and forgot we had put toast in until it started to smoke and burn. Very dangerous! The box is long gone, but it's going back because it is a HUGE FIRE HAZARD!!! It should be recalled before someone gets hurt.
