I think it may cook faster, but if you put it on low you can control it. It's really rather nice. I like the fact I can cook faster if I want to.

This slow cooker cooks all my slow cooker recipes from various cookbooks at least two hours too fast. The low setting is like high on other cookers. When contacted, EuroPro makes no apologies for this and in fact seems proud of the fact that their SLOW cooker cooks so FAST. With only manual controls, this cooker is useless to working folks who are away from home for eight hours.
