Overall Very pleased

Reviewer:  happy buyer "sl"  (Conway, SC)  See all my reviews

The crib looks beautiful and everyone seems to comment on it. Be careful assembling because the crib will scratch if you bump it on hard surfaces but no more than my bedroom furniture cherry that is way higher priced. The crib looks solid and feels sturdy although the crib is not made entirely of solid wood which I knew buying it for the price that it wouldn't be. I would definately recommend this crib to buyers.

particle board/veneer, can't weave bumpers for SIDS

Reviewer:  J. Roenke  See all my reviews

Real Name

many reviewers are surprised that this is not solid wood. The Storkcraft site states this in the description. A solid wood crib will run you in the thousands, [...]. means that the hardware is visible.

If you look closely at the picture you can see that weaving the bumpers for SIDS safety is impossible on the head and foot board. I didn't notice this until the crib arrived. Bummer. Assembly was reasonable with 2 adults. Kudos to the reviewer who did it alone.
Our crib was taken apart and put back together by our movers and did fine (did not become loose or break during the move.)

Drawer holds several blankets, pee pads, blanket sleepers, sheets etc.

The construction is solid and I feel our baby is safe in this crib. For the price, it looks pretty good if you don't want to spend thousands. Our baby is 5 months old.

Please Don't Buy This Crib

Reviewer:  Emmer's Mom  (Minneapolis, MN)  See all my reviews

At first, we were pleased with the initial look of the crib. However, when we placed our daughter's mobile on the rail of the crib, it left large marks very quickly in the "wood".
A few days ago, my husband leaned in to get our daughter out of her crib and the front panel cracked. He is not a heavy guy and I was surprised that it could crack so easily. When I called Storkcraft, they told me the piece would not be available for four to six weeks. The cost of the piece plus shipping would be approximately the same as buying a new crib. We are buying that new crib.

Beautiful

Reviewer:  Chadylynn "Chady"  (Dallas, TX)  See all my reviews

We ordered this crib and were so excited to put it together, but when we opened the box.........there was no assembly hardware(screws, nuts, bolts ect) A quick phone call to Storkcraft and we received them in about a week. We just put it together last night and it is beautiful and very sturdy! We didn't have any problems putting it together at all. The bumper issue can be a challenge, but if you play with it a little, it will work.

Please think twice before buying this item

Reviewer:  mom of 3 "momma W"  (Germany)  See all my reviews

I purchased this crib a little over a year ago. It had scratches in it when we took it out of the box. This crib is made out of cheap particle board and very cheap wood.

My husband was hanging an item up in the baby's room and lost his balance. He braced his whole 165 pound body on the top of the back of the crib and the entire board snapped along with all of the spindles. The company refuses to help us out at all and says no matter what the crib is only under warranty for 90 days.

Don't plan on your child using this crib past the crib stage. It is seriously not worth the price the money, the quality or the customer service.

Excellent Crib ...

Reviewer:  NewMommy07 "Mel"  (Miami, Florida)  See all my reviews

We purchased this crib for our son and it is beautiful. It is a little challenging to put together, but what do it yourself furniture isn't confusing. The crib is made well and looks great in his room. The drawer is also wonderful b/c you can really store alot of blankets and things.

We definately recommend this crib and the furniture for the complete look. :)

Love it and Hate it

Reviewer:  Logan's Mom "Wendy X"  (RI)  See all my reviews

I bought this crib when I was 4 months pregnant and put it together myself. It wasn't that hard, I only had trouble getting the draw to stay up.
I really do love this crib but the bedding just doesn't fit right in it. I have resorted in using double sided sticky tape for the bumper to stay in place hopefully it doesn't ruin the furniture!

Decent crib but has its drawbacks

Reviewer:  New Mom "Erika R"  (Montana, USA)  See all my reviews

I bought this crib online because I loved the sleigh style and it would grow with our daughter. Overall it is a decent crib, however for the price I was discouraged with the quality of materials. The solid end pieces are very thin pressed board (you can bend it!) and have a rough, cheap finish that does not match the rest of the crib. We have the crib positioned in the nursery so you cannot see the ends, and my husband and I have joked that it would take very little strength for our daughter to put a crack in the wood should she ever throw a tantrum in her crib when she's older...

Other problems: the drop down rail sticks, you must use a dust ruffle that has slits in the corners, and you can't use a bumper with this crib unless you sew on cleverly positioned ties yourself. You CAN attach traditional crib toys and mobiles, but only on the front drop rail.

It's a workable crib and looks nice from the front, but if you are going to pay this much for a crib I'd suggest looking around for something that works better.

Good But Not Perfect, Owned 8 months

Reviewer:  My 3 Sweet Pea's "R.S."  (Tifton, GA, USA)  See all my reviews

This is my third crib, as I always buy this type that grow with the child, and it is the hardest of all to put together. I was astonished at how many pieces there were. However, I assembled this crib by myself when I was only 3 weeks from her birth. Probably shouldn't of but the nesting was taking over. I had problems with the hardwear fitting in the pre-drilled holes so what else could I do but get out the drill and make the holes large enough. It took about 2 hours with several interuptions included. Though once completed it was very pretty. The drawer worked great and the front rail went up and down without any problems.

Then came the next challenge with the bedding. A dust ruffle or skirt will work but it needs to the more tailored square type with the box pleat I bleieve it is called. (My ruffle one wouldn't work.)The tailored ones corners are split to accomodate where the attachment of the mattress holder is. It will hide any overstuffing of storage in the drawer below. Next the bumper pad does not work for the ends are solid and there is no where to attach it so that it is secure. So we have done without one and it has not been a problem other than pacifiers are always under the bed and little legs are always poking out through the rails. The mobile does have to be attached on the front rail, but that is where I placed all my others.

Beautiful Crib but not Quality Materials

Reviewer:  K&A's Mom "New Mom of Twins"  (Valencia, CA)  See all my reviews

We loved this crib and placed two of them on our registry for our twins. My husband had some difficulty putting them together and kept thinking that he had done something wrong because the sides were not that sturdy. After one month of use, one of the crib drawers fell off due to faulty hardware and we had to contact the manufacturer for replacement parts. We now only use the drawers for storage of things we don't need access to with any frequency. Hopefully it will convert to a toddler bed without these problems.
