This item was very nice to have. The wheels enable you to move it from room to room. The basinette will rock when you disengage the bar holding it still. And to rock it manually was no big deal. Really. It rocks easily. We loved the convenience that this item brought to us. We removed the canopy, however, because we felt it obstructed our view of the baby. She stayed in it, by our bed, until @ 2 1/2 months (at which time she was already 12 lbs). I found that the bassinette sheets, sold by Target, were too tight on the mattress after a washing (causing the mattress to curl on the ends). We used a king size pillow case and tucked it for a better fit. This item is a must have if you want to bring your baby from room to room with you. The model we had didn't have the music feature. But I imagine it would've been nice to have. We now have the Sound Oasis Sleep Bear to help us put her to sleep. That's also another must have. Both of these items were the best investment we've made.

My daughter was 5.5lbs when she came home. I laid a bed mattress for basinetts in the bottom and had no problems finding bedding sheets. My daughter lasted in this bassinet until she was a little over 6 months. Let me just say she is SUPER tiny, at a year old she is just now peaking at 16lbs.

Only complaint I had that is it was not self rocking. You had to manually rock this bassinet.

This is a nice bassinet but your little one will not be in it long. My son is not even two months and he is almost grown out of it (he'll a big boy thought, 11 pounds). I also found it frustrating that I could not find any bedding to fit in this bassinet, so I wound up buying cradle bedding, which is too big, so I had to modify it. You will also have to buy a bassinet mattress for it, as the one it comes with is very thin and not comfortable. I would suggest using this money towards a crib, I only got this because I did not have space for a crib at the time.

This was the first piece of baby furniture we bought and loved how it looked, especially when we got it home. It was easy to put together, but then baby arrived. She hated the bassinet, we ultimately determined because the mattress that comes with it is so super thin, the bedding feels hard. We had to put a thick blanket in the mattress cover to fluff up the mattress and finally she slept in it..I would not recommend buying this product.

AFTER LOOKING AT EVERY BASSINET OUT THERE, I ALWAYS CAME BACK TO THIS ONE. WE PUT IT TOGETHER IN LESS THAN AN HOUR. DO RECOMMEND IRONING THE BEDDING BEFORE YOU START. WHEELS ARE THE ONLY DRAWBACK ON THIS ITEM. THEY SEEM KIND OF CHEAP. MUSIC IS FINE, LIKE BABY EINSTEIN MELODIES. IT LOOKS GREAT. A CLASSIC!

The bassinet is beautiful and functional, but contary to what it says it is NOT self rocking. That was a bit of a bummer but other then that and not being able to wash the fabric without basically disassembling the whole thing, I have absolutely no complaints!

This is a nice piece...I feel like it is sturdy, but it hasn't withstood much use yet...so time will tell. One thing I wanted to suggest to other moms is to iron the bedding before you assemble the bassinet, because if you want to wash/iron it after, you need to practically disassemble the entire piece to get the bedding off. I learned this the hard way. I tried to use a steamer and downy wrinkle releaser, but the effect wasn't the crisp look I wanted. Maybe I am too particular, but if you are too, iron the bedding and shelf cover before you assemble the item! Otherwise, easy to put together (quicker with a electric screwdriver) and some of the better instructions I've seen included in furniture!....

I bought this bassinet for my Daughter and assembled it myself without any problems, it just took some time & if I can do it anyone can. It is VERY sturdy and rocks smoothly, plus it looks beautiful. It rolls nicely too (make sure you push the casters in hard so they stay put). It came packaged very neatly, but the fabric pieces were very wrinkled so I washed by hand & ironed them before assembling. I used a fabric steamer for the large fabric piece which turned out nice. Do not use a washing machine or dryer for the large fabric piece. The mattress is thin, but it IS supposed to be to prevent SIDS. My ONLY complaint is that the music is nightmare-ish, it sounds out of tune and not appropriate for such a nice bassinet. The music is disappointing, but the bassinet is wonderful.

This is a great bassinet - nice size for a small apartment. It is also very portable and easy to move from room to room to be close to your baby. I also love the storage under the bassinet. I found it easy to assemble and actually pretty sturdy. The only misleading thing about the bassinet is that is does not rock by itself but that is not a problem since I try not to get my baby used to being rocked anyway. I also replaced the thin mattress that is included with the bassinet with a thicker one and some soft flannel sheets. My week old baby seems very comfortable in it. Overall, very great product.
