Darling!

We got this crib for our baby girl and love it. It's gorgeous and looks like a crib you would see at a boutique. My husband and I set it up together and it took very little time. The drop side is convienent, accommodates for a bumper/mobile, and looks darling. We love it.

BEWARE-THIS CRIB CAN BE UNSAFE!!!!

Reviewer:  Mom3Girls  (Virginia)  See all my reviews

I loved this crib for the first year that I had it but now it is dangerous! My daughter is 20 months old, 21 lbs, and 30 inches tall, well within the crib limitations. However, she can put her feet up on the end of the crib between the slats and pull herself up and over! This crib is useless now until she can sleep in a toddler bed. I do not recommend buying this crib if want to use it more than 18 months. I have contacted Bassett and am waiting for a reply.

We loved this crib. We were the second owner for two of them and bought one brand new. They are so easy to operate and very durable. We are very pleased and look forward to passing them on!!!!

Dangerous!!!

As previously stated, this crib is very dangerous. My son can climb up the wainscot panel and dangle over the edge. Now as soon as we hear him awake we have to run in and get him, otherwise he climbs up the side. There are many many cute SAFER cribs out there.

Dangerous Crib

Reviewer:  April Vafeas "Twin Mom"  (Alabama)  See all my reviews

I have filed a complaint with the cpsc over this crib. I have twins that have been able to climb up on the wainscot panel and lean way over the end. From there, it's a chest high drop to the floor - on their heads. My children are small for their age, so an average size child would have had no problem doing this much sooner than 20 months old. Converting it to a toddler bed doesn't remedy the situation because it does not change the ends of the crib. No matter how cute you think the crib is, find something else. This one is just dangerous.

FANTASTIC BUY!!

Reviewer:  just me  See all my reviews

We've had this crib for 4 years now. It's now our daughter's toddler bed, with a canopy draped over it, it still looks beautiful in her room, not just like a crib without a rail.

Not only has it lasted 4 years and still growing strong but being a military wife it has lasted through 3 moves (1 overseas to Germany, once in Germany and recently once back stateside). A LOT of our furniture was broken in the moves but not this! It was chipped a little in this last move but in a discreet place, nothing that can't be touched up easily.

This will defiantly go back to being a crib when we have our next child. I LOVE the solid sides so if the crib is positioned right, sneaking quietly in the room while baby's sleeping you'll go unseen :) We're huge fans of the sleigh design and have gotten many compliments on it over the years! Definatly would recommend it to anyone!

Dangerous Crib!

Reviewer:  Disapointed Mom  (Chicago, IL)  See all my reviews

At only 19 months old, our son was able to climb up the side of this crib and hang over. The wainscoating on the side looks nice, but it is a very dangerous step. Obviously, we can no longer use this crib. As you can imagine, our 19 month old is no where near ready for a big boy bed. We may have to buy him another crib. We feel like we wasted $300. I would not recommend this crib!!!!

Pleased we were not.

Reviewer:  Busy Mom "Sara S."  (Atlanta, GA)  See all my reviews

We loved this crib at first. It is beautiful, however experience taught use otherwise. The wainscoat sides make it easy for a toddler to climb out. There is not a protective cover for the siderail so a child with teeth can chew the paint. It was difficult to adjust the mattress height and, we were never able to adjust the side rail by just pressing with the knee. The crib was damaged during a move. We used the insurance reimbursement and bought a different brand.

Awesome find!

Reviewer:  Stacy  (New Hampshire)  See all my reviews

I searched and searched on line for the "perfect" crib for my first and only baby girl. Boy, was I picky. I needed an antique white crib to match her other furniture and this crib fit the bill. My hubby had no trouble putting it together and it's beautiful, sturdy and easy to get the side up and down (just using one hand or a knee if you're good!) The next hard part is finding the "perfect" bedding! It took me a while, but everything goes with this crib. Happy shopping!

Good Crib, Looks beautiful. Finish Does Crack Easily...

Reviewer:  dazed81  (Illinois)  See all my reviews

We assembled this crib last month and even though the baby isn't here yet to use it, I am going to review what I already know or I will forget. It's an ice crib, very pretty, very sturdy. The assembly was quick and easy until we got to the drop side which seemed almost impossible to slide on when all the plastic clips needed to align just right and stay that way while you slid the side on. My husband almost blew a gasket over the drop side, but once we got it on, it worked nicely. Other reviewers have commented on the two solid ends meaning you can't use a bumper, but my bumper ties on and stay just fine, even without the ends tied in the center. I didn't think it was a big problem. The mobile fit, the waterfall soother fit, and everything looks nice. We got this in combo with the sealy posturpedic crib mattress and it fit perfectly. Make sure you save the "wrench" so you can lower the side later. The finish does seem to crack easily as it arrived with a few blemishes and cracks, but nothing too noticeable unless you are looking for it.
