nice crib

Reviewer:  NewMom  (Mississippi)  See all my reviews

Worked well for us. I did have help putting it together. So I can't vouch for the instructions. However, I will say that for some reason the clips to lower the front rail are on the bottom of the rail...I don't know if that is a technical error on the person putting it together on my end or if the instructions were that bad.

Good crib, could improve on the instructions!

We bought this crib after zeroing in on three cribs- the Delta Jenny Lind, Da Vinci Jenny Lind and this one. We bought this crib based on the favorable reviews it had received and the price factor. This crib also apparently seems to be in great demand and a fast moving item as we had to visit three Targets before we finally had to place a crib on hold before we could pick it up. The downside is that the instruction booklet is very cursory. It took us forever to set it up and it turned out to be a full day project, even though we are not novices to furniture assembly.
The crib looks quite nice once its set up. Wish it was easier to assemble though.

Great crib!!

My husband and I just put this crib together last night. It wasn't as hard to put together as people were saying. Yes, the directions aren't as clear as they should be, but if you have common sense (or are great at puzzles), it shouldn't be hard. It was just time-consuming. We got it together in about an hour, and had no broken parts, no parts were missing, and none of the pieces had splinters or any rough edges. The drop rail is extremely easy to use. I was pleasently surprised to be honest. So when we have the baby it will be no problem at all. I also enjoy the 3 different settings for the mattress. I'm 5'3" and with the drop rail and high setting, it works out great for me. I can't wait to have our little bundle of joy (end of Dec. sometime) to try the crib out :) I would definitley recommend this item to everyone. It was a great price, and had great reviews on several websites, and I think it's well worth it.

Possible Recall

Reviewer:  Mom of 4  (Arizona)  See all my reviews

I bought this crib about 6 months ago, I was looking for something not too expensive that had great quality. I recently moved my 7 month old son from my husband's and mine bedroom to his own bedroom. He has been sleeping in this crib for about 3 weeks. There is a very potentially dangerous situation that can occur. I have noticed that when I change out his crib sheets and bumpers the slats are very bendable and that is a huge concern of mine. I can use my pinkie finger and move the slats back and forth. I also have a 20 month old and she has a crib that the slats are extremely sturdy and won't budge if you try. I have contacted the CPSC and am in the process to try and get this crib recalled. The slats can easily pop out, causing an infant to get strangled or fall out of the crib. If a child is having a fit or if he/she is like mine, very strong, they can potentially kick the slats or even break them in two. It wouldn't take much force for it to happen. I read about two recalls from this distributor, with similar concerns. The bed slats can easily pop out. The two products are "Tiffany" and "Josephine" made by the same company who made this Lauren crib. Please be very cautious if you are going to buy this product. I am having my husband disassemble this crib today and we will be purchasing a crib by Delta. I would recommend that you spend a little bit more money to know that your child will be safe every night and every nap. I absolutely would NOT recommend this crib to anybody.

Good crib for the price

I bought this crib about a year and a half ago when my daughter broke her last crib (different brand) by jumping up and down in it. She was only 10 months old! Needless to say, I needed a new crib (that was sturdy) at a good value. I actually bought this one in the store at the time. I put it together easily (except for the front piece, that was rough). The only downfall is that now that my daughter is big enough for a toddler bed, I feel that this crib is too high off of the ground when it's converted. Even with a bed rail, I don't feel too great about it. At the lowest level, it's still pretty high. We're going to have to get her something else to sleep in and save this crib for when we have another.

I Love It! Better Than I thought!

Reviewer:  Chellebelle "Michelle V"  (Westland, MI, US)  See all my reviews

This was not my first choice in cribs but seemed more in my budget. My husband suprised me and put it together while I was at work today and said it was a breeze to put together. I also tried to lower the front and it was very easy. You can do it with the baby in your arms. It looks great and I can't wait until my baby gets use of it. I recommend this to anyone and everyone. Plus it also got a good rating in Baby Bargains book. Which is one of the reason I got it and am glad I did.

We purchased the crib from the store on Saturday and assembled it the same night. Okay, my husband assembled it the same night. We love it! The wheels made it easy to figure out where we wanted to put it. The only complaint is the instructions were not right. My husband is handy so it didn't bother him too much. Overall it's a really nice crib for the price and I am totally satisfied.

We Like It!

Reviewer:  happymommytobe  (Sioux Falls, SD)  See all my reviews

We bought this crib in the Espresso color. It took my husband an hour and 1/2 to put together - the instructions were a bit vague but we got it figured out. The color is good, it is sturdy, and the drop rail works great. Our baby isn't due until this summer so we haven't officially been able to try it out, but so far we like it. I was impressed considering the price.
