My husband and I purchased this crib for the birth of our first child, a daughter, due in 3 weeks. The crib arrived quickly and in pristine condition, it was packed very well. It was pretty easy to assemble, it took us about an hour. I have to say the hardest part was installing the spring base that the mattress goes on (we weren't sure which side was "up.") This crib is a beautiful "antique white" (not pure white) and the edges of the crib have been lightly distressed, making it appear like an antique, which I love. The crib feels sturdy, and is gender neutral enough to be used for a boy or a girl.
I have to say my only disappointment with this crib (and the reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars) is that in one of the pictures shown on the Target website, it shows the "toddler safety rail" to keep a toddler from falling out of bed. This crib DOES NOT come with that rail, I guess we have to order it separately. I assumed since it was shown in a picture, and the description didn't state otherwise, that the safety rail was included. This crib does come with the rail to convert to a toddler bed, just not the "safety rail," if that makes sense. I suppose we will have to check the Childcraft website to see if it can be ordered, or just use an after-market safety rail to keep our child from falling out of bed, once she is big enough to sleep in it as a toddler bed.
Other than the safety rail issue, I love this crib, and can't wait for our daughter to be born so we can use it!
