I too purchased this television brand with the built-in DVD player. It has been about two years now and the DVD player does not play at all and the color oftern goes in and out. It was an in store sale for about [...] I got what I paid for.

Don't buy

Real Name

I needed a new TV, this one was on sale and was a flat screen and looked like a pretty good one. Looks can be deceiving. I had this TV for about two years and I was watching a TV show and all of a sudden the screen just went black. I tried hitting the "on power button" and blue line would appear in the middle of the screen then turn off again. The TV is fried. It is no loner usable. It is dead. And only had for two years. THINK BEFORE YOU BUY!

BAD BRAND FOR ELECTRONICS

Reviewer:  Perky "Fran"  (fl)  See all my reviews

I bought this brand of television with the built in dvd player in it and after playing a couple of dvd's, it no longer plays anything! Also FYI to any TRUTECH buyers: if you wish to use a universal remote or comcast/directTV remote with this tv...DONT BOTHER synchronizing the tv with any other remote. This brand does NOT have a code that will synchronize with any other remote control. Save your money and buy a tv thats an actual brand. It may cost a little more but its worth it in the end.

I am yet to have a problem

Reviewer:  College Chic  (Orlando, FL)  See all my reviews

well I'm 19 years old and my first year of college I dormed. I bought this TV about 8 months ago and am yet to have a problem with it. In addition it really is durable. With all of the moving I did with it I was sure it may not have lasted because it was pretty cheap but IT HAS!! I recently moved from New York to Florida and drove...and the TV is yet to have a problem...and I've never had a moving man or anything, in fact my boyfriend was always the one moving it

p.s...children are children...maybe the TV was handled improperly without you knowing because I have been quite rough on it and am yet to have a problem.

Very Poor TELVISION'S SET'S

Reviewer:  AnokaMom  (Anoka, MN.)  See all my reviews

I bought both my children last Christmas a TruTech TV, with the DVD Player Built-right into it, and 1st of all, about 2 months into it, one of them starting changing so many colors, and having such a very Red Background or a Very Dark Background, that you could not see anything, even after trying to adjust everything, now after having the TV's over the 1 yr. Warranty, now they are both doing the same thing and cannot find out how to get ahold of TruTech or anyplace else to help me find out what is wrong with it - I think a Brand NEW TV, that cost $200.00 each should last more than 1 yr.!!!
