I purchased this carrier after reading the high rating from Consumer Reports. I was a little disappointed in it because it always seemed a little awkward. My daughter never really liked it facing inward and she would just bury her head in my chest and cry. When she was old enough to face outward, it worked much better but it still felt awkward. She did not like having her arms down in the arm holes, and when I folded the padding down, it didn't seem like enough support for her. When she finally got to the point where she was comfortable and supported, she weighed 15 lbs. We were able to take her hiking several times which she really enjoyed. Now that she's hit 17 lbs, it is very uncomfortable for me to wear.
Overall it was a nice occasional use carrier but we have already moved on to a backpack carrier. I would probably not buy this again, but maybe I'm just not a front carrier person.

Love this carrier! I registered for this model because it was ranked well thru Consumer Reports. My daughter is 13 lbs. now and it still works great. I have yet to use the facing-out position but imagine it will still work great. My daughter falls asleep in it! Especially great for housework or grocery shopping when you have a fussy baby!

This does everything we need it too and our little one loves it. We put her in it first facing us and she didn't like it, but she loves it facing out so she can see everything. It has a zipper on the bottom to adjust the height for the baby. This is a great feature

This is a great carrier for the price and my husband loves it. He feels a little more manly in the jeep rather than the baby bjorn one i have! Our daughter almost demands us to carry her around in it and falls completely asleep within minutes. A must for moms who need to free up their hands to do other things or to just get dad to help out!!

I used the Baby Bjorn but my daughter has gotten too heavy for it and it kills my back. So I looked into other carriers for heavier babies and toddlers. I considered the Bjorn active but it seemed pricey so I tried the Jeep based on reviews. It's well put together, attractive and easy to use but I found it to be wobbly even when the straps were their tightest. My daughter jostled around and I had to walk more slowly, particularly after she fell asleep. There's no real support for a sleeping baby so her face mashed into the front. It was more comfortable than the bjorn original though, and I'm sure it's okay for most people going short distances.
I returned mine and decided to go with an Ergo carrier instead. The Ergo is super comfy for me and my daughter, she sleeps really well in it too -- it has a sleeping hood for security and coverage. Plus, she can use it until she's 40lbs (she's only 16lbs now). It was $92 but I figure that's worth it since it's comfortable and can grow with my child, I won't have to replace it every 6 months - year so with a different carrier.

I tried a sling with my newborn, but he hated it. He really hated being confined and it was very uncomfortable for me. I returned the sling and tried the Jeep carrier and my son and I both love it. I've been carrying him in it since he was about 10 pounds. He's almost three months and over 14 pounds now, but the weight still doesn't bother me. My favorite use for the carrier is grocery shopping. He loves to look around as we walk around the store! I highly recommend this carrier for babies who love looking around!

this is so easy to get one. a little hard to adjust the straps if you have to while baby is on board. our daughter loved it. this was the only way we could go to the grocery store or on walks when she was little. she would very easily fall asleep. mainly used it facing us. i would recommend this over the more expensive models. very comfortable and easy to get on and off. and easy to get baby in and out.

I just got this carrier last week and used it for the first time while visiting my in-laws. We were walking around the small shops of Carmel and I was so greatful we had it. I couldn't imagine going into all those tight stores with a carrier or stroller we would have broken something for sure or not even been able to go inside! It was also great as we walked along the beach!! Plus now I can take the dog and the baby for a walk and have both hands free. My daughter seems really comfortable in it and even fell asleep!!! The only downside is that it takes a few tries to get it adjusted on my back. Otherwise, it's perfect!

I absolutely love this! I am a bit paranoid, I admit, so I want my baby right next to me whenever I'm out in public namely at the store or church, etc. I used this until just recently (b/c my baby is now too heavy) and it was great to have him with me everywhere I go, especially when grocery shopping. I didn't want to leave him in his car seat and put it in the cart b/c then everyone felt it necessary to touch him, which I'm not okay with, not to mention if I had to reach a little bit away from the cart or during check out and I would have to push the cart away from me, etc. Anyway, I loved it and my cute baby loved it.

I had the baby bjorn and my daughter was getting snug in it so we got this one and I love it! At 11 months and 15 1/2 lbs she fits perfect with more room in this and we are still on the smallest setting (she's tiny). I love the fact that the bottom zips out for when she gets bigger and the design is similar to the bjorn and so easy to get on and off with extra padded shoulders that other carriers don't have. I also love the key and cell phone compartment...less to carry. Definately worth the money and not as expensive as other carriers.
