The PERFECT Mei Tai! LOVE IT!!!

Reviewer:  Babywearing Mama to Many! ;) "Ann M."  See all my reviews

I've owned so many other mei tais, slings and wraps, and this is by far my favorite! Much sturdier, more durable and supportive than less structured or unpadded mei tais, and a third of the price of my Babyhawk! In fact, I prefer this Ultimate Mei Tai to that, not just because it's so much more affordable, but because I love its more ergonomic shape and the little extras (pockets, cold-weather blanket, etc.). Wish I'd found this first!

And it's so pretty! I've even worn this at a wedding, and it looked so sleek and classy with my dress! If you can only afford one carrier, this is it!

Good lower back support

Reviewer:  New Mom  See all my reviews

This carrier provides excellent lower back support, but is complicated to put on. There are almost too many options for carrying baby, and the youngest infants don't have much head support. Long straps make it possible for different sized moms to wear comfortably.

Not a good value, poorly made.

Reviewer:  Baby Carrier Connoisseur "Kate"  (Ohio, USA)  See all my reviews

This mei tai is very cheaply made. The straps need more reinforcement where the shoulders attach to the body.

The angle of the shoulder straps is too wide, which makes it difficult to get the baby close enough to your body. While this mostly only leads to discomfort in the front carry, this can be dangerous in a back carry because it allows the baby to arch her back and flip out.

The best carrier for toddlers ever!

Reviewer:  faerie mama ")O( Faerie Mama )O("  (Ohio)  See all my reviews

I loved my sling when my daughter was little, and I LOVE this for her now! It's so much less complicated than the snuggli or other similar carriers. And it's so much more comfortable! Plus, she can nurse in it, unlike the Snuggli, which has a pad between me and her, making nursing impossible (why they designed it that way is beyond me; must be designed for men!). But this is a great, super comfortable, one-size-fits-all (babies AND mommies/daddies) carrier. I recommend it to everyone with a baby or toddler.

Lifesaver

Reviewer:  Mom of 2  (New Jersey)  See all my reviews

This is a great carrier for my 6 month old. I've used it for a back carry and hip carry and it's the best! It is far better than the frame carriers for back carry! I used it on a hike with my other kids and my baby was very happy and comfortable and so was I! Thanks for a great product.

Good idea in theory, but needs tweaking.

Reviewer:  Mom to one Lisa R.  See all my reviews

In theory this mei tai is good b/c it distributes the weight of the child better than some of the other carriers on the mainstream market, but the wide spacing between the straps made it hard to get a good snug fit. Also the straps and body of carrier should be reinforced better. My other mei tais feel more secure and snug. I'll stick with them.

What a great idea!

Reviewer:  Dragon_Mama  See all my reviews

I haven't tried this particular mei tai, but I'm so excited to see Target getting carriers that are better for baby's spine and Mom's back! Front carriers always hurt my back and trying to wear them as a back carrier never seemed to work. My mei tai saved my back and allowed me to carry my young baby, though she grew heavy fast! If this is designed like an ordinary mei tai, then it can be used as a hip carrier as well.
