My newborn loves his hotsling. When he was really small (under 3 mos), he would fuss a bit when I put him in, but soon enough he would be asleep with his mouth wide open. He prefers the stage two position where he can prop himself up and peep his head out versus the cradle position (great for nursing). It comes with a dvd instruction manual, and paper manual with pictures. It folds easily and is pretty stain resistent. Like most people said, sizing is crucial but you can look up sizing charts on the manufactures website. The first one I got was a size 3 and was a little too droopy, but the second one I got was a size 2 and my baby fit snuggly. Great item!

My son absolutely loves being in this sling. He is nine months old now, and he loves riding on my hip or my back. The Hotsling is very comfy, and I can get my housework done easily. It's not too hot, even though we live in SW Florida, and it's summer now. It's a little confusing to put on at first, so be sure to watch the DVD that comes with it, and practice with a bag of sugar if you're nervous about putting your baby in the sling. If you still have questions, you could try getting some practical help from the La Leche League meetings or connecting with other babywearing groups in your area.

I came online to purchase another hotsling because I love my sling so much, but I've read a few bad reviews and wanted to give my opinion and tips. It took some getting used to, but the hotslings website offers wearing instructions and videos, and the sling itself comes with a dvd. After viewing those and practicing [several times], this has now become one of my favorite baby items. It's easy to use, comfortable, and versatile. Make sure that you have the right size (see sizing chart on hotsing website), view the videos, and practice.

i registerd for this item and i believe picked a medium. i tried it on after receiving it at my shower and could not figure it out. i put it on how it's pictured and it seemed too small! i tried it on again post pregnancy (i'm 5'7 and was 150) and it still seemed too small. i couldn't see how i'd ever get a baby to fit in there! i haven't tried it since and maybe i should watch the video, but it doesn't look like it should be so complicated or that i should need to get an extra large when before pregnancy i was 130 pounds and most of my extra weight is in my lower body!

This was great when the baby was a newborn - he loved snuggling into it. When it was time to transition to the second way of carrying him, he was none to happy about how he was supposed to be held in it. It's odd how you have to hoist the baby to get them folded up and into the sling. Maybe I just need to figure it out and it is user error. I'll still try to use it, but the Bjorn is far easier without the hassle.

I absolutely love the Hotsling, it's so much better than other mainstream type carriers on the market. Carrying an infant is so easy and I had no problem discreetly nursing my baby while using it. Other patrons at the stare would peek in and just assume that the baby was sleeping. It's also great for older babies and toddlers, it's so nice to put your child on your hip and still have free hands and no tired arms. I found the sizing to be accurate as well.

The sling seems like it would be nice but I have had difficulty getting the right size. I am 5'3" and post pregnancy weigh 118 and can't fit into the size x-small (2). My baby is 8lbs. right now and I could barely get her in it. It is a pain to have to bring it back to try to get the right size. I would use the company web page to get more info about sizing.

According to the instructional DVD, this sling is not ideal for a mom with a infant. I feel as if the baby is going to suffocate if you try to nurse. I do not recommend this sling and I would love to get a full refund on this item. I just find it too complicated.

This is the best sling I have ever used and I have tried many. Does not hurt one bit and it looks good. I bought this with my second baby because my old sling was bulky and ugly. I have people ask me about it every time I wear it. My son is now 10 months and it has been great! When he was much smaller nap time was no problem because he would sleep in it when he was in the cradle position. I was able to go everywhere. Now he sits like in the picture and it is still comfortable. Works great if you have to chase around an older child. I still use the same size sling as when he was born. I am 5'5 and 120 pounds and larger on top. When he was born I was 170 pounds. I use a size 3. You should be able to use the same size sling the entire time.

I just heard about this sling. My daughter was 11 months old already, but I decided to get one because I had a Target gift card. She is now one and she fit in it perfect! She initially looked down because she could not figure out how she was staying on my hip without me holding her. It is great. I can actually cook without her screaming for me to pick her up, and best of all, I have both of my hands free!!! A MUST!!! WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!
