This seat would be great for a large husky child but not for a petite one. My son had a hard time sitting up straight and sleeping in this seat. The only thing that was there to hold him up were the straps, which i couldn't tighten anymore. So we ended up returning this one and purchasing the Britax Boulevard Seat. We were much happier with that one.

My grand-baby is the love of my life and I want only the safest for him. When he out grew it, I purchased the Regent. We were in a horrific accident last week. A girl T-Boned my car, a Toyota Camry, the air bags deployed, the car was totaled! Both passenger doors were caved in. But THANK GOD, I had spent the extra money to get this car seat and had my baby in the MIDDLE of the back seat. I know that it was God and my SAFE Britax that saved my baby from possible severe injury or worse. Even though the car seat looks fine, by law, I have to purchase a new car seat and we are expecting a "Baby Girl" in November....There's no question about it, they will be....BRITAX! I was impressed with the big selection of Britax car seats. Usually we can only find a few to see in person. This store has a bunch! It's a big heavy car seat which isn't a problem for us because we have a SUV. I highly recommend Britax to all moms and dads.

Submitted By: Cassandra   Date: 04/25/2008 I am a firm supporter of Britax car seats. My 3 1/2 year old daughter has been in a Britax Marathon from the time she was able to face forward in the car. We have always loved the Marathon. We were debating buying another one for our second daughter, but decided to move our first into the larger Regent and pass the Marathon to our second. I had read reviews about the Regent being large, but I did not believe that it could take up more space than the Marathon. We were surprised by the size. We were worried that it would not fit in our vehicle (Honda Pilot.) However, when we actually got it into the car, it does not seem to take up any more space than the Marathon did. Our daughter seems to have just as much, if not more room than she did in the Marathon. The backwards facing infant seat still fits in the middle seat of the car comfortably. If you're going to buy this seat, definitely make sure you're accomodated for the size. As always, with Britax, I'm secure in knowing that my daughters are protected to the maximum extent possible.

Kids crave independence, but parents know that safety is the first priority. The Regent, touted as the "King of all Car Seats," is a forward-facing youth car seat that can support children from one year and 22 pounds up to 80 pounds and 53 inches tall, far longer than most convertible car seats on the market. While many booster seats only use the vehicle's seat belts to secure the child, the Regent provides a tangle-free, five-point harness with four harness heights, ensuring a snug and secure fit for years of use. The harness can be easily adjusted using the release lever and one-pull strap adjustor located under a protective flap on the seat cover.

The Regent employs world famous Britax safety features, such as the patented HUGS, or Harness Ultra Guard System, which reduces forward head movement, gently cushions the neck and chest, helps avoid improper chest clip placement, and distributes the harness load to avoid webbing edge irritation on the child's neck.
