Horrible to install

Reviewer:  Mom  See all my reviews

My husband and I spent over 2 hours trying to install this rear facing seat but once we finally got it in we decided to take it back. Once you get it securely buckled in there's a gap between the base and the seat...and the instructions say to put a rolled up towel under there to fill the gap! What?!! Also the cover was folding up on top and did not wrap around the seat properly. AND there's a recline handle you can't even pull out once you have it buckled in...I would not trust this car seat for my child.

We bought this car seat under a year ago. We bought this one because it was consumer Reports best buy. we thought it was great AT FIRST (though a little heavy). Then it started to get dirty. The padding to this seat does not come off. The only way to clean this car seat is to hose it off outside. Then it takes days to dry out. Today I finally bought a different car seat. I was tired of the smelly car seat. What a waste of [money].

Night Mare to Install rear facing.

Reviewer:  KatieP  (Bay City MI US)  See all my reviews

I bought this seat because of its many uses: rear facing, front facing, and booster with seatbelt. I like the seat, but it took both my husband and I over 2 hrs to install it rear facing, and we are still not satisfied with how its installed. The directions are difficult to understand, and I would consider my husband to be pretty handy at this kind of stuff. I think we will have better luck with this seat Front facing, but we have 3 mos til then.

Good car seat

Reviewer:  Pippie Langkous "Sas"  (Seattle)  See all my reviews

I think this is a good car seat compared to what's out there. I was looking for a convertible car seat for my third child, nine months old. I originally wanted a Britax but couldn't afford one. Then I saw this one in the store and compared to a lot of other car seats, I noticed how thick and comfy the padding is - I like that. Sure, a fun color would have been my preference but at this point I am happy to just have a safe, comfy seat.
The instructions were a little confusing in some areas but I figured it out. Not any harder than other car seats I have used before.
I agree with some reviewers in that the seat doesn't recline as far back as it should in the rear-facing position, but that is easily fixed with a rolled-up towel.
Nice car seat - I recommend it.

Great Car Seat!

Reviewer:  First Time Mom  See all my reviews

I bought this for my son when he turned 8 months. He still is rear facing. It took me a long time to pick a seat and I couldn't be happier! It looks great, it's not to big! I love that the shoulder straps have pads over them so they don't cut into his neck. The only problem we had at first was that it didn't sit back far enough so when he fell asleep his head would fall. I just rolled up a towel and put it under the front of the bass to get it to sit back a little more. Other then that we haven't any problems and he seems to really like it!!

I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!

Reviewer:  Caleb's Mom "Carrie P."  (G.P., TX)  See all my reviews

I shopped around when it was time to buy the big boy car seat. I wanted something that would last. I had a 9lb boy so the weight range needed to work for me. When he hit 22lbs we we bought this car seat and I have had no problems with it. I didn't read the directions, car seats are pretty simple. I took the little pillow off cause he didn't like that but other than that this car seat is wonderful. When my husband bought his truck he went back and bought the same car seat for his truck. I have to older children and they went through their car seats so fast. The weight limit on this car seat is 100lbs and unless you get in a wreak you should not have to replace it. My 11 year old is still under 100lbs. I think this is a GREAT car seat!!!!!

Reviewer:  mommy of Jayden "Diana"  (cincinnati, ohio usa)  See all my reviews

I finally got these in 3 days ago, there the best thing i have seen so far.I work in a office so i have time to research things before i buy them.I couldnt have picked a better seat at all.My son is 8 months old and is over 30inches long and 26lbs. he loves this seat he can look around and be comfortable without the straps rubbing him since he is so tall! I love this and wouldnt trade it all.I am very proud of this product!!I have told everyone i know about this product,i know it will last for a long time also since he has room to grow with it.The fabric is thicker and will last just as long.

Took Back

Reviewer:  Mick's Mom  See all my reviews

We bought this seat for our 8 month old. The directions were hard to figure out. Once we got the latch belt through the seat correctly, it was so hard to tighten the seat in the car that we took it back and bought a different one.

I bought this seat for my 4 month old son who is already outgrowing his Eddie Bauer carrier. He's a pretty big boy (27 inches and 18lbs.) I took it out of the box and reclined it all the way and when i installed it in my car, it just didnt look like it was reclined far enough. Sure enough, one day when i pulled in my driveway, he had just doze off and i looked in the mirror, and his head WAS HANGING OVER HIS STOMACH. Its a really pretty seat and its VERY easy to install but i would rather have a seat that reclines further back and make sure my son doesnt have a crick in his neck when he wakes up.

WELL MADE AND EASY TO USE

Reviewer:  Mom of 2 "Kristina P"  (Peoria, IL, USA)  See all my reviews

My husband and I purchased this seat for our 8 month old daugher. I like the brand becuase we had previously purchased a Safety1st seat for my 2 year old son. His seat is very easy to use and very easy to clean. This seat is so much easier to adjust than his though. All of the adjustments can be made from the front of the seat. When you have a little one growing as fast as mine is this is quite handy. The seat reclines, but not enough to keep my daughter completely content. I would definatley recommend this product to anyone.
