| La Crosse Oval Wireless Forecast Station Know all the facets of the weather using the La Crosse Oval Wireless Forecast Station. This unit features the time, date, indoor and outdoor temperature, indoor and outdoor humidity, and air pressure on one convenient screen. The top line notes the outdoor temperature in your choice of Fahrenheit or Celsius, followed by the relative percentage of humidity. This data is received from an outdoor sensor, placed up to eighty feet away. The unit can receive information from three separate sensors, and if more than the included sensor is used, the number corresponding with the transmitting sensor appears on the screen. Below the temperature and humidity is the air pressure bar graph and circle. A bar graph appears in the circle, noting the air pressure from the past twelve hours. The smaller orbs around the large circle indicate the current air pressure. If it is high, many or all of the circles will be filled, forecasting good weather. If the air pressure is low, only a few of the dots will be filled, indicating bad weather. Surrounding this graph are more icons. A windsock icon alters to warn of strong winds, expected storms, or poor weather as it changes position. A rainy, partly sunny, or sunny icon also appears around the graph to forecast the weather in the next twelve to twenty four hours based on the air pressure. If the outdoor temperature drops below 32° Fahrenheit, a cloud and snowflake icon appears to warn of possible icy conditions.
The time, received via an internal antenna from WWVB in Fort Collins, Colorado, appears on the next line. This time is measured by the atomic clock in Boulder, Colorado, and can be displayed in twelve or twenty four hour format. Adjust the clock to your time zone, or turn off the radio control to set the clock manually. The month, date, and year appear next to the time, also controlled by the atomic clock. The last line notes the indoor temperature in your choice of Fahrenheit or Celsius, followed by the percentage of relative humidity. The unit can record up to 200 sets of data. The default recording is once every hour, but the station may be set to record from every five seconds to every twenty four hours. The station also records the minimum and maximum temperature and humidity for indoors and outdoors, and notes the time and date when this data occurred. Both the indoor and outdoor pieces run on two AA batteries (not included). Place this station on a flat surface using the included stand, or wall mount it. Use the included screws to mount the remote sensor to an outdoor wall, out of direct sunlight and rain, or place it on a flat surface with the attached base.
