| Speedtech Skymaster Weather Meter Monitor the weather quickly and easily on the go with the Speedtech Skymaster Weather Meter. This unit can relay a wide variety of weather conditions, including wind speed, temperature, wind chill, heat index, barometric pressure, altitude, and relative humidity. A portable anemometer at the top measures the current, average, and maximum wind speeds in a variety of units such as knots, mph, kph, f/m, m/s and Beaufort scale. It may also combine this information with the temperature to determine the current wind chill, which is the temperature that the air feels like on human skin due to wind and temperature combined. The amount of water in the air is measured to provide relative humidity readouts, which are in turn used with the temperature to derive the current relative heat index. Barometric pressure is measured internally and can be displayed as current information or in a graph showing pressure changes over the last 16 hours. The internal barometer is likewise used for calculating your altitude based on the above information. As a safety precaution, the Skymaster will issue a severe storm audio alert when conditions indicate impending weather difficulties. This product runs on a single CR2032 button cell battery, which is included along with a spare. The casing is resilient shockproof plastic and features a folding cover for a handy "pocket knife" effect, as well as a tripod mount for added stability. The case is also water resistant for nautical use and will float if dropped in water. A lanyard is included for easy carrying.
