| Davis Instruments WindScribe Ultrasonic Anemometer Keep the wind speed, temperature, and wind chill at your fingertips with the Davis Instruments WindScribe Ultrasonic Anemometer. This small unit uses ultrasonic technology to read the wind speed in miles per hour, kilometers per hour, feet per minute, meters per second, feet per second, or knots, and displays the information on a small screen. The unit also reads the temperature and displays it on the top of the screen in Fahrenheit or Celsius. This meter combines the two values to calculate the wind chill, which is an indication of how cold it feels outdoors based on the actual air temperature and wind speed. The wind chill can be shown in either Fahrenheit or Celsius. The unit includes a wrist strap for hand-held use and a 1.5" diameter mounting bracket to mount on a bicycle or other vehicle. The item may also be mounted to a tripod (not included). This anemometer uses one 3V lithium battery (included) for power.
