| Oregon Scientific Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer & Clock, Black Watch changing weather conditions from the comfort of your home with the Oregon Scientific Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer and Clock. This convenient display features all the weather information in one large screen. The top line indicates the outdoor temperature, as well as an arrow pointing upward, downward, or straight. This notes the temperature trend, and whether it has been rising, falling, or remaining steady recently. This information is received from an included sensor, placed outdoors up to one hundred feet away. The temperature can be in your choice of Fahrenheit or Celsius. When temperatures fall to between 37° and 28° Fahrenheit, a snowflake icon flashes to warn you of possible freezing weather and dangerous conditions. This section also features high and low temperature alarms. Set these alarms to sound when the temperature reaches a set degree, to cover your plants in cooler times, or to keep your family safely indoors during hot months. The next line is capable of showing the outdoor humidity, with the purchase of a separate Oregon Scientific Thermo-Hygro Sensor. The bottom section of this unit has the time according to the atomic clock near Boulder, Colorado. An internal antenna receives a signal from WWVB, the radio station in Fort Collins, Colorado, which transmits the time according to the atomic clock. This signal can be received from up to 2,000 miles away. If it has been received, a tower icon appears next to the time to note the signal strength. This feature can be deactivated, and the time can be set manually if desired. It can also be set to your time zone, as well as shown in twelve or twenty-four hour format. The day of the week in English, French, German, Italian, or Spanish appears after the time. Toggle the display to show the time and day or the time and seconds. Below the clock are the date in month/day format, and a small icon noting the moon phase follows. If the included alarm is set, a bell icon appears next to the date, indicating it has been activated. The black colored casing creates a sleek look, and the included stand allows the monitor to rest virtually anywhere. Mount the outdoor sensor on a wall, protected from direct sunlight and moisture, or place it on a flat surface with its integrated stand. The indoor unit uses two AA batteries (not included) for power, while the outdoor sensor runs on one AA battery (not included). The main unit can receive information from up to three separate sensors, sold separately. Know the outdoor temperature and watch it change with the Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer and Clock. One year limited warranty.
