This small unit mounts to a wall outdoors, and transmits a signal to the indoor station every forty seconds. The distance this item can be placed away from the main unit depends upon the capability of the main station. The sensor reads temperatures from -40� to 140� Fahrenheit, as well as senses the percentage of humidity. This information is transmitted indoors and displayed on your weather station. Set the sensor to channel one, two, or three, and that number will appear on the station when information is received. The item uses two included AA batteries for power. Alkaline batteries are provided, but lithium batteries may be necessary if the temperature drops below 10� Fahrenheit. The sensor mounts to a wall with a standard screw, or can be placed on a flat surface using the integrated stand.
