| La Crosse Wireless Weather Station with Weather Boy Stay ahead of the weather with the La Crosse Wireless Weather Station with Weather Boy. This small clock offers a wealth of information at once. The left side has the time in standard or 24 hour format, as well as the current date. The time is kept as accurate as possible, as an internal antenna receives a signal from WWVB, the radio station in conjunction with the atomic clock in Fort Collins, Colorado. Your clock can receive this signal from up to 2,000 miles away. Underneath the time is a display that shows the time of sunrise, sunset, or duration of the day's sunlight, as well as the current phase of the moon. The sun tracking feature is programmed to work for 99 selected US and Canadian cities. The right side shows the indoor and outdoor temperatures and relative indoor humidity. An outdoor transmitter sends the outdoor temperature to the unit every five minutes, and may be placed up to 330 feet away from the indoor display. This item can receive information from up to three separate sensors, for a fully rounded forecast. One is included with the console.
The center of the unit's display features a weather boy icon with a weather forecast icon and an arrow noting air pressure trends. The weather forecast icon features a sun, sun with clouds, or rainy icon, indicating whether the weather is expected to improve, stay the same, or worsen. The air pressure arrow points up or down to note increasing or decreasing pressure. A weather boy icon also has a changing wardrobe based on the outdoor temperature and air pressure. The weather boy has fifteen different combinations of clothing and accessories. For example, if the weather is warm and sunny, the boy has on bathing trunks. If the temperature is warm but the air pressure is decreasing, he has an umbrella with his swimsuit. If the temperature is very cold and the air pressure is dropping, the weather boy appears in a coat, gloves, hat, and scarf surrounded by snowflakes with a snowman in the bottom right corner.
