| AcuRite Wireless Rain Gauge Know how much rain has fallen with the AcuRite Wireless Rain Gauge. This unit includes an outdoor rain gauge and indoor monitor to help you measure rainfall. The top line of the monitor has the rainfall in your choice of inches or millimeters, and a small icon under the measurement shows which increment was chosen. Another icon under the measurement notes if there has been no rain, light rain, or heavy rain in the past few minutes. Battery indicator icons on the same line warn you when it is time to change the batteries in either the display or the gauge. Place the rain collector outdoors on a flat surface up to one hundred feet away from the indoor unit. A tower icon in the bottom right corner of the display indicates whether it is receiving the signal from the collector. An alarm function sounds for ten seconds when the rain mode changes, but may be disabled. The small screen may be backlit for five seconds when the light button is pressed, and the reset button clears the current rainfall measurement. The black casing and silver colored face of the display add a modern feel to the unit, while its compact size allows it to be placed almost anywhere. The indoor display uses two AAA batteries, while the outdoor collector uses two AA batteries for power. The indoor unit can be wall mounted or placed on a table with the included stand, and the collector should be placed on a flat surface outdoors.
