| AcuRite Wireless Weather Forecaster Check the outdoor temperature and weather effortlessly using the AcuRite Wireless Weather Forecaster. This unit offers meteorological information in one convenient screen. A small section of screen on the top left of the item has a weather icon, indicating the forecast for the next twelve to twenty-four hours. This is determined by the altering barometric pressure, and one of several different icons will appear in this section to note if the weather is expected to improve, stay the same, or worsen. For more accurate readings based on your particular area, the station internally records the barometric pressure changes for fourteen days when first set up, and then uses this collected data to offer forecasts that are area-specific. The top right corner has the outdoor temperature in your choice of Fahrenheit or Celsius, received from a sensor placed outdoors up to one hundred feet away. The line below this has the outdoor high and low daily temperatures, also in Fahrenheit or Celsius, followed by the indoor temperature. White housing with a silver colored accent frames the main unit, for a modern look on the item. The off white sensor housing completes the look. The main unit uses three AA batteries (not included) for power, while the sensor runs on two AA batteries (not included). Place the station on a flat surface in your home, and mount the sensor outdoors where it will be protected from rain and direct sun.
