This unit is an all in one tool, giving you the indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity, weather tendency icon, barometric pressure, air pressure history, moon phase, date, and radio controlled time. The main unit can be placed on a table or wall inside your home, and the aluminum colored face beautifully combines with the black background to create a modern accent. An outdoor sensor can be placed up to one hundred feet from the main unit, and reads the temperature outside, which it transmits to the indoor unit. For even more versatility, this sensor features a low temperature sensor adapter. When the outdoor temperature drops below -4° Fahrenheit, bring the outdoor sensor inside to protect it from extreme cold. Connect the adapter to the sensor and place it outside through a window or door seal. The sensor will still read the outdoor temperature but will be safe indoors. The indoor unit receives the outdoor temperature and humidity information, and displays it on the top line of the screen in either Fahrenheit or Celsius. The relative percentage of humidity is shown below that. The outdoor temperature and humidity both have arrows next to them to indicate whether the temperature and humidity outside is rising, remaining steady, or falling. These fluctuations in air pressure aid in forecasting the weather. An icon in the top right corner has a sunny, partly cloudy, cloudy, rainy/snowy, or stormy illustration, forecasting what the weather is expected to do in the next twelve to twenty four hours. The next line features the barometric pressure in either milibars (mb), hectoPascals (hPA), or inches of mercury (inHg), followed by a graph showing the air pressure history from the past twelve hours. The unit records daily minimum and maximum values of the indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity, which can be viewed by pressing the memory button. The bottom screen has the moon phase, followed by the date and day. Large numbers on the bottom line show the time, which can either be set manually to your time zone, or controlled by WWVB radio, the radio station which broadcasts the time according to the atomic clock in Fort Collins, Colorado. The clock's internal sensor receives the radio signal from up to 2,000 miles away, with a small icon noting whether the signal is received. This station can also be used to awaken you simply by setting the included alarm. If the alarm is set, a bell icon appears next to the time. The main unit can receive information from up to three separate sensors for a well-rounded station. The indoor display unit and outdoor sensor both use two AA batteries for power (not included).
