| AcuRite Wireless Weather Thermometer & Atmoic Clock, Black Check the outdoor temperature easily using this AcuRite Wireless Weather Thermometer and Atomic Clock. This unit offers valuable meteorological information and accurate time on one convenient console. The top line on the display notes the outdoor temperature in your choice of Fahrenheit or Celsius. This is received from a remote sensor placed outdoors up to one hundred feet away. An arrow pointing up, down, or straight indicates if the temperature has been rising, falling, or remaining constant for the past few hours. The daily high and low outdoor temperatures are shown on the following line, received from the same sensor. The most accurate time possible is displayed on the next line. This time is received from radio signals from the WWVB, the radio station which broadcasts the time according to the atomic clock in Boulder, Colorado. An internal antenna in your console will receive this radio signal daily, to keep exact time. Set the unit to your time zone, and allow the clock to update itself for your convenience. The bottom of the item has the indoor temperature in either Fahrenheit or Celsius. The large values on this screen are easy to read, even from a distance away, and the black plastic housing adds a modern look. Silver colored plastic framing the console's screen lends more dimension and interest to the unit, and the off white housing on the outdoor sensor completes the look. The indoor console uses three AA batteries (not included) for power, and the outdoor unit runs on two AA batteries (not included). Use the included stand to place the station on a flat surface, and mount the sensor to an outdoor wall, protected from rain and direct sun.
