| Davis Instruments Perception II Weather Station Easily monitor the indoor climate with the Davis Instruments Perception II Weather Station. This unit features the time, indoor temperature, indoor humidity, and barometric pressure on one convenient screen. The top left corner has the temperature in Fahrenheit or Celsius, which can also be shown on the right screen in increments of 0.1° or 1°. If the temperature is seen on both parts of the screen, they will always be in the same unit of measurement. The bottom left corner notes the barometric pressure in inches of mercury, millimeters of mercury, or millibars. Standard barometric pressure is usually approximately 29.92 inches of mercury. This value can also be seen on the right side of the display screen if desired. Most often, the time occupies the right side of the screen, in twelve or twenty-four hour format. Toggle the display to see the date in month/day format. The bottom of the screen has an arrow which points upward, straight, or downward, and notes the barometric trend. This arrow indicates whether air pressure has been rising, remaining steady, or falling. The unit additionally measures the relative humidity indoors, and can display the percentage of relative humidity on the screen when the humidity button is pressed.
This weather station not only reads and displays meteorological information; it also records minimums and maximums for your reference. This station records the minimum and maximum indoor temperature and humidity. View these values by pressing the recall button on the console. These values will remain in the station's memory until a higher or lower measurement occurs, they are manually cleared, or there is a power outage. The unit also features alarms which can be set to sound when a function of the station reaches a particular point. High and low temperatures, high and low indoor humidity, and changing barometric trend alarms may be set to your chosen values. The alarm will sound when the weather condition reaches the set point, and continue sounding until the reading rises above the level for lows, or below it for high alarms. Place the indoor console on a desk, table, or shelf, or wall mount it with the included base. Use the included AC adaptor to power the station, and insert a 9 volt battery (not included) for backup.
