From weather to time, this unit offers everything you need to predict what the day will bring. The top line of the item indicates the time, received from the WWVB, the radio station in Fort Collins, Colorado. This station broadcasts the time according to the atomic clock in Boulder, Colorado, for accurate timekeeping from up to 2,000 miles away. The second line notes the date in day and month format. The center display features a weather tendency arrow and icon, forecasting if the weather is expected to improve, stay the same, or worsen. This is based on the air pressure read over the last few hours. The following line uses an integrated sensor to read the indoor temperature in either Fahrenheit or Celsius, as well as the percentage of humidity in the home. A smiling face icon between these readings notes if it is comfortable indoors. An included remote sensor, when placed outside, sends information to the indoor unit every four seconds using wireless transmission technology, for real time weather updates. The bottom section of the screen shows the temperature in either Fahrenheit or Celsius, received from the outdoor sensor placed up to 330 feet away. The console can receive signals from up to three separate sensors, for a well rounded forecast. One is included in this package. The item additionally saves the record high and low temperatures, both indoors and out, to reference if desired. The cherry wood colored side panels flank the station's gray face, offering a natural look to the unit. Both the main unit and outdoor sensor use two AA batteries for power (not included). Hang the console on a wall, or place it on a flat surface for ease in checking it, and use the included screws to mount the sensor to a wall.
