1.826. Imperial Elephant This colorful tapestry boasts a picturesque scene of a large finely clad Elephant walking through the jungle. Woven in the Oriental style at Aubusson, for the Industrial Exhibition of 1844, the original measures over 18-feet high and 23-feet long and includes gold and silver thread. This piece features rich tones in brown, sage, forest, cream, burgundy, gold, marigold and rust.
