| Seems to get warm/hot. Great for travel. Won't Replace Desktop/Notebook. Does the basics with ease, email, web, IM ect. Great for when traveling but keyboard is smaller and takes time to get use to. Fairly expensive for what it is, though has WinXP which is a +. Have not tested WiFi capabilities (range) yet. |

| Great for traveling light. The Eee PC will not replace your desktop or full-featured notebook, but is great for vacation when all you need is to check email and surf the web. I have loaded MS Office 2003, Quicken and a backup application and it works fine. With an external DVD drive I completely formated and reloaded XP in 25 mins. With WiFi on and moderate use, you may expect 2.5Hr Battery life. Space on the 4Gb SSD is limited, so you need to keep an eye on where you're loading apps and storing data. If all you need is WiFi, email and browser while on the road, the Eee PC 900 gets two thumbs up. But, if you need to decode video or need to multi-task, you should step up to a more robust solution. |
