Cables To Go TruLink 2-Port
DVI And USB KVM Switch With Audio And Cables
The TruLink™ DVI and USB KVM Switch with Audio allows you to access, control, boot and reboot multiple USB-enabled multimedia computers. You can do this by using only one USB keyboard, mouse, DVI monitor/flat panel display and a speaker set and microphone. The DVI connections support both digital video input (flat panel displays, data projectors, plasma displays, digital TVs and set-top boxes) and analog video input (traditional monitors and TVs). In addition, this switch provides two USB ports for device sharing. The independent switching of the KVM and USB peripheral and audio ports allows you to listen to music or use USB devices from one computer while you work on the other. The TruLink DVI and USB KVM Switch provides multi-platform support for PC, Macintosh® G3/G4 and iMAC®.

WE USE THESE AT MY WORKPLACE. THIS KVM IS GREAT! I LIKE THE BUTTON SWITCHING, AS OPPOSED TO A HOTKEY, BECAUSE YOU WON'T ACCIDENTALLY HIT THE WRONG HOTKEY AND MAKE IT SWITCH BACK AND FORTH EVERY 5 SECONDS. I HAD THAT PROBLEM W/ MY LAST KVM, BUT NOT ON THIS ONE. I ALSO LIKE THE DVI INTERFACE, NOT ONLY VGA. WITH THE DVI, YOU CAN USE AN ADAPTER AND POOF! IT'S VGA CAPABLE. I LIKE THE EXPANDABILITY. ALTHOUGH IT'S A LITTLE EXPENSIVE FOR MY LIKING, IT'S WORTH IT. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I plugged it into an older Dell and a newer Dell the old dell had p/s ports but the USB worked fine. Make sure the DVI plugs are well seated, I had minor problems until I pushed them in hard. One problem with the extra functionality in a Logitech gaming keyboard, but if you use the generic switching USB port in the back rather than the USB keyboard port in the front the problems go away. Logitech Mx518 mouse is fine in the front mouse port. Switches quickly, no wait for except for the built in delay in the KVM switch fucntionality. Very happy with the investment and the use of the switch. Cables are only about 3 feet long so the computers should be closer together, than you might expect. I do not use the sound functions, the supplied KVM cable comes with very convenient rubber covers on the speaker (1) and microphone (1) plugs, so they won't short out on any metal - nice touch.

Bought this DVI KVM to hook up two DVI based Mac OSX Servers to one LCD monitor, keyboard, and mouse. Works perfectly! Didn't need to install any software, mess with any settings on the machines, and didn't even need to restart. Perfect installation, and couldn't be easier!
