I rebuilt an old Gateway G6-400 which had a 250watt unit. Had to make some modifications to the case for it to work, but wasn't anything major. I've been using it for 3 months now, non stop except for a couple of times to power down due to weather conditions. Works great the only complaint i have is it's a bit noisy, but not enough to be a problem.

When i built my machine witch had this exact power supply I turned it on and thought it was dropping a duce until i realized that my house was on fire So I called the fire department and got the heck out of the house. As i waited for the fire department my house was ablaze. And all because of this freaking power box. And now my insurance rates went out the roof. True Story. Thank god tiger direct sent me another power box. The same in fact and it works wonderfully. would fully recommend just keep an Eye on it the first time you start using.

Good replacement for crappy 300w units. I use these for computers used in Corporate retail stores in Upstate NY. When a PSU fails (300w ones)I issue one of these Diablotek PSUs for a replacement. I had placed a bulk order in early May, and have yet to get one returned to me by a technician. In fact I am placing another mass order today, I would NOT use these for any high end work load. Of course they are going to fail - but $20 still beats paying $50+ for another 300w unit through another(local)supplier. I gave it a low rating only because it screams generic, but it does the job well for very basic PCs (P4, Sata 1 raid, DVD ROM).

Thought it was a great deal until just over a month of having it, it literally blew up in my computer. Turned on my computer and immediately there were several flashes of light, loud popping, sizzling noises, and the tendrils of smoke. I've reordered a new power supply (diferent brand) and pray the crappy PS was the only thing that bit the dust. No more Diablotek for me. Go big or home!

This thing ran fine for 4 days, then it shorted out and in the process of doing so shorted out the motherboard as well. Do not buy this!! I was tempted to save some money by getting this, but wound up having to replace a $150.00 motherboard.

20+4 Motherboard Connector! It doesn’t matter whether your motherboard has 20 or 24-pins. The
20+4 will hook you up. For your 20-pin platform, simply separate four pins
and plug it in.
