Vantec Iceberq Aluminum Hard Drive Cooler The Iceberq Hard Drive Cooler keeps your hard drive cool near ambient temperatures, protecting it from a hard drive's major enemy, heat. A cooler hard drive will be more stable and less likely to suffer a mechanical failure. Keeping your drive well below its specified temperature range is the easiest way to make sure your drive will perform optimally. The larger 70mm fan provides plenty of airflow while spinning at a low RPM, creating less noise. With the Iceberq Hard Drive Cooler hard drive cooler, you can ensure the reliability of your important data on even the hottest drives.

I don't see how you're complaining about the temperature not dropping when it is already sitting at 37C. I mean, that seems to be as low as you really need to go doesn't it? It's like trying to take a fan to antarctica to drop the temperature a few more degrees. Pointless. On the other hand, I am going to buy one of these because the good reviews outweigh the bad reviews and I like to trust other computer people that know what they are talking about.
I only gave this a four because I haven't bought it yet. I have bought other vantec products and they are a trustworthy company. And you will be getting a huge order from me in a couple of months TD, so I hope you guys are as good as everyone makes you out to be. Don't let me down.

Ok i just got this 2 days ago, and i do like how it looks, and the noise is pretty much not there, however my temp of my HDD has not change. I have a NZXT Lexablack line which already has 4 fans, and with the Heat Sensors my HDD was at 37c before i bough this item and after i got it, still 37c, and even when im playing video games and other task at the same time, it will go up at most to 40c. So i dont kno how well this item is since i have yet to see a difference

Cheap and easy to install. Takes up a little room, but if you have room to spare, I recommend.

I reviewed the design of many drive-coolers before I setteled on this one. Being trained in engineering, I could see this one has an air-plenum to guide the air for efficency. Using the ''HDD Thermometer.exe'' program, I can see my drive never gets above 30C. Keep in mind I am running a 10,000RPM RAPTOR drive which is notorious for running hot.
