i bought this with my xfx mobo, and i would have to say not to buy this Fan/Heatsink, the max rpm is 1638 and my computer runs at 48 C idle this is with 5 other fans in my case too , this is not a good product to buy, it was a pain to install on my board too
don't waste your time with it

Works well enough that I have bought a few of them for different systems. Works well on AMD Athlon 3500+, Intel Pentium D, and AMD Quad-Core Phenom X4 9650. I used a benchmark program to max out the CPU on the Phenom X4 for 2 straight minutes, and the core only reached 41C.
Considerations: I have a full-size tower for more airflow. Do not cheap out on thermal compound and this fan will work great for most processors.

As most people say it's BIG... Bought a xfx 8200 mobo. Was very hard to install to this mobo, I dont recommend this fan for xfx mobo's. Works good.Steve Maxam

Just sent mine back. It was never installed because it wouldn't fit. This will NOT fit on a EVGA nForce 680i SLI Motherboard. The cooling fins that are built on the board over the chipset do not allow this thing to sit flat on the processor. Would have loved to see it in action as my box has all blue lights and the red one on this fan would have looked great. Anyone reading this should also be aware.... I thought I would try it on an older board, in a different box, and because of the placement of the cpu, this cooling fan would not fit because it was bumping in to the power supply. Yep, it's just that big!
