The GFR212SD Universal Drive is a solution for hi-speed, bi-directional image and data transfer. Images and data can be transferred quickly from Secure Digital Card (SD) & MultiMedia Card (MMC) memory cards to PCs or Macs. This is particularly hand in many applications, including digital cameras and MP3 devices. With the increased speeds, sustained data transfer rates, it is up to 4 times faster than the standard digital camera connection. | I love these things! I have one for my camera that uses xD cards and this one for my wife's camera that uses SD cards. It's a pity that once reader can't read both cards but that's OK because they both fit nicely in our respective camera bags which are quite small. The device performs perfectly and can be used as a thumb drive for reading and writing files. The cover does completely the inserted SD card. I often load a chip with pictures from my computer when we travel to relatives so I can use her camera (which has a bigger LCD than mine) as a display device. I also prefer using several 1GB chips instead of one 2, 4 or 8GB chip because it's easier to sort through the pictures on the camera when showing them off to friends and relatives. And you can't beat the price from TigerDirect! |
