| This thing sounds like an airplane taking off when it spins up. I don't expect it to last very long. Doesn't come with any software either. I like the Sony drive in the same price range better. |

| I purchased this CD/DVD RW drive to replace an old HP drive. The drive worked very well with no setup, just plug and go. I am using the Ubuntu O/S and have had no issues with the drive not working. For the price and so far reliability I would seriously recommend this drive. |

| I bought two of these Lite-on models (LH-20A1P) over the last year. One died out at 6 months, the other still works. Warranty is hard to get access to. They don't respond to their returns email via their web site (www.liteonit.com), but got back to me eventually through the business hours chat line! Then I have to pay for shipping to California for their poor product. They say 2-3 weeks; we will see if timing or service is any good. I guess it is a ''value'' oriented product, but many other TD products are inexpensive but better serviced.
