| Could not get this modem to work on a brand new Lenovo IdeaCentre K210. No matter where I hooked it up, modem thought line was ringing. Also, in Vista, every boot requires you to authorize two separate USR programs so modem's dirvers can load(!!). Surfing for solutions I found USR calls this an MS problem, but other modem I put in machine didn't have these problems. Note that an older PCI modem worked fine in the Lenovo. I should also note that the USR modem did work as advertised in an older Lenovo 3000J series w/ XP, so it must have been something specific to this modem, the new Lenovo, and Vista Home Premium. The modem is also bundled with some additional software, some of which only works under XP. The FAX/terminal software suite does work under Vista if you want something other than the native FAX software. |

| I've tried other brands but keep comming back to USRobotics, the others just don't measure up This one hooks up at 51K every time. All the others I've tried can only muster 44K at best. Even 51 is way slow but I live to far from everything that can attain any speed on the internet. Thanks Tiger you guys are the best. |
