High Performance DSL Modem
The D-Link ADSL2/2+ Ethernet/USB Modem (DSL-2320B) enables you to access a high-speed DSL Internet connection. The DSL-2320B supports the latest ADSL2/2+ standards to provide higher performance (up to 24Mbps1 downstream and 3.5Mbps upstream) and longer reach from your Internet Service Provider's (ISP) Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer (DSLAM). The DSL-2320B is also backward compatible with standard ADSL. To create a home or office network, simply add a multi-port router.
Always On, Always Connected
Unlike a dial-up Internet service, a DSL Internet connection is always on so that you do not have to wait to access the Web. The DSL-2320B supports TR-067 standards ensuring compatibility with your ISP's infrastructure. This modem automatically detects your DSL settings to quickly establish a connection to the Internet. The DSL-2320B includes a simple configuration tool and a Web-based Graphic User Interface (GUI) that enables you to easily modify settings to connect to a DSL Internet service. The conveniently located LED indicators let you quickly check the modem's status and activity.
Choice of Connectivity
The DSL-2320B offers both Ethernet and USB ports for flexible connectivity. The RJ-45 port enables you to connect an Ethernet device such a multiple-port router or an Ethernet-enabled computer. If the Ethernet port is not being utilized, then you can use the USB port to connect a USB-enabled computer and vice versa.
The D-Link ADSL2/2+ Ethernet/USB Modem (DSL-2320B) is a great all-around high-speed DSL Internet access solution, whether you are a home user who requires a high-speed Internet access for faster file downloads, or a business user that relies on the Internet to conduct daily business.

I bought this modem to replace my D-Link DSL-3001
modem that was continually disconnecting.
Once I had the new modem installed it would not connect.(The DSL-2320B is configured by using your browser)So I called tech help and after a lot of configuring of IP addresses, etc., I was put on hold for advanced technical help.So I hung
up.If I should ever have to reload Windows at some point, then I'll need technical help every time to configure my modem? B.S. My old modem configured by plugging the wires in to it, and clicking connect. Why not this one?
Save yourself a lot of trouble and buy another
brand.(Ignore the star rating)

Excellent Modem. Replaced a Westell 610014 provided by Centurytel. The D-Link modem auto configured itself and immediately communicated with my DSL provider and my Linksys router. The only input required on my part was my DSL ID and Password. Very Impressive !

A couple weeks and working great so far. Was very difficult to set up. The instructions are not very clear. I called D-Link support and ATT several times, and they had no clue, and just pointed the finger at each other. Hints: Make sure modem picks up a 'DSL' signal before going through Auto set-up. If not, it needs to be Re-set before trying again (small button in back with pen for 10 seconds) The WIFI and LAN manual settings have a lot of confusing options, so try not to go there. I also had to click on my computer LAN Settings to have Windows Repair IP address on computer. I just tried everything for several hours -- unplugging and replugging phone cords and modem connections, randomly clicking options and settings, re-setting modem, and FINALLY, it picked up DSL signal and worked! (and I was just about going to ship it back for refund) So be patient and keep trying, because in the end, I don't know what I did.

After I installed the D-Link wireless router DIR-655 I started getting disconnects and cable unplugged messages which I never had before using my wired router. After watching this for a while I notice that this always seemed to occur when either the phone rang or someone picked up the phone. I finally decided to replace the modem. I had a Speedstream 5100B from SBC which worked fine otherwise. I benchmarked the Speedstream prior to making the replacement and after to see if there was a performance upgrade. I got nearly identical results. The good news is the pesky disconnects are now gone. Setup was relatively easy but for anyone using a router you need to set this up to work in bridge mode. People ask whether this will work with their ISP and my guess after having set this up I can say it probably would. If you set this for a single computer you can enter your user name and password to always stay connected. In bridge mode, the router does this function.
