| Bought this for my parents to replace the Comcast-rented RCA modem and Linksys wireless router they had. I personally own the Motorola Surfboard 5120, and that's ROCK SOLID, so I figured I'd give this a go. Am VERY happy with the results, and so are the folks! Previously, their RCA modem was resetting itself looking for sync/signal - Motorola modems can ride out a data storm and still deliver on upload AND download. The wirelss function was easy to configure (actually set that part up before I called the cable company to replace the old modem so it was just plug-and-play). If anyone's looking for the reliability of a Surfboard WITH the convenience of wireless, get this! Note that this is NOT a multi-port router, however, if you connect a hub or switch it will support multiple wired machines as well as the wireless clients. Hard to beat if you're into all-in-ones. |
