HiRO V.92 56K External USB Data Fax Voice Modem
HiRO H50113 External USB modem provides an easy way to link you to the world. It incorporated the V.92 standard, so your PC can establish a connection faster, and the connection can be up to 56K speed. Modem-on-hold feature allows you to answer a phone call during an internet connection, then resume after the call is finished without killing the connection. The bundled Fax Talk Communicator application allows you to use your PC as an answer / voicemail box as well as a fax machine. Installing this modem is an easy process; with the external design & USB interface, all you need do to is to connect the USB and phone cable, without even opening up your PC. With so many features packed into such a little box, you can never go wrong with HiRO modem.

| I have now owned this unit for a year now and I can testify that it is one of the best items available for the money, super convenient and just plain works. I live in a rural area and dial up and wait is my only option. Over the years we have had perhaps 5 modems 3 pci cards, 1 external and now this one. Lightning has taken out two computers via phone lines and even the external modem died via electrocution, however this usb unit seems to get along just fine and yes I do believe in surge protection, three in line and even then I lost a computer. Oh well keeps me building and Tiger in business. |

| I bought this to use on the computer at work, to see if I got any better throughput, compared to the modem included with the computer....WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!!!!! I am getting DOUBLE the throughput, even with a slower connection! If you're tired of dialup connections giving you only half of what you should be getting, TRY THIS MODEM!!! |

| This works vary well I did not even have to use the software just pluged it in and worked like a charm. The speed is the same as my inturnal. Good buy in my mind.. |

| I bought this modem for the ''phone tray free'' software that uses callerid to filter calls. It works! I had to update from the web site but all is well now. |
