| This modem is awsome it boosts your speed so much. And all these people that say it doesn't work with Rogers it does. You have to tk it to them and they put this chip in that makes it work with rogers. This is a great value. |

| I bought this more than a year ago and it has worked superbly. It has this speedboost technology that you can really notice because I was getting speeds higher than my ISP bandwidth limit. The display lights are very intuitive. It tends to get really hot if you stack something else on top of it or otherwise limit air flow around it, so be careful.
Unfortunately, Cox recently (June 2008) installed some upgrades on their system after a service outage, and after that the modem would lose the cable signal about 1-2 time a day, after which I would have to power-cycle it to refresh the signal. The Cox technician said he saw this problem happen on multiple units of this modem, and swapped it out with one of theirs. So now I can't use the DCM-202 and I'm trying to find out what to do. Perhaps if DLink releases a firmware fix then I can go back to using this modem, since the Cox one is noticeably slower. |

| I bought this modemt to replace the WebStar brand I received from the the Cable company. I lasted about month before I started having problems connecting to my wireless router. After two months it just stopped working. DONT BUY IT. |

| I was hoping this would work, was a replacement for a fried motorola surfboard 5100...
After 45 minutes on the phone with Rogers, I'm told its not compatible with their system...
So,the moral of the story is ask more questions before opening your wallet..... :)
So my rating doesn't mean anything, just thought I'd give a heads up to other Canadian consumers. |
