Hiro 56K V.92 PCI Modem
The H50006 is a V.92 56K Fax modem that is built with a Agere (Lucent) chipset. It offers reliability and stable connections that allow user to access the Internet painlessly. With the Faxtalk software, users can also use this device as a fax machine, and the Modem Net On Hold feature allows users who have call waiting to pick up phone calls without getting disconnected from the Internet. With just a few clicks, the user will be able to resume the connection after finishing the phone call.

| It works great with my Vista Machine, I've been looking for long for a modem that works but either it is not compatible or lack of function. I finally this one fits. The speed are fast and it works on my other XP tower right out of the box. Worth every penny I spent on it, highly recommended. |

| I am surprised by the performance of this modem, my old one got zapped so I need to get one replaced and works with my vista machine. The driver is built in so it install itself, the speed is connected at 53kbps constantly. Highly recommended. |

| Get the modem and install like a charm. Connect and Fax with no problem. Get the latest 2.1.83 driver updated from Hiro's website and then install FaxTalk to get the CallerID working. Though it doesn't say that it works with CallerID and Distinctive Ring but both function works for me. Great products. |

| We search on the internet and found Hiro's modem which is highly recommended by the software provider. The driver needs to be updated to have CallerID function enable due to the built in driver from MSFT doesn't work. Great products and the product we need, thanks to Hiro and TigerDirect. |

| I needed a modem to support Call Waiting on my phone line, and the V.92 server of my ISP. Out of the box (contrary to claims on the box) neither feature is supported. Modem comes with the driver CD, and includes the FaxTalk version. There is no reference to Call Waiting on Hiro's website. This modem will not provide Modem Net On Hold feature even when tested with third party software - the PhoneTray. Regarding connection speeds, 46,6K line consistent with the other make modem would connect as 36.0K with Hiro. The product description on this page says: ''With the Faxtalk software, users can also use this device as a fax machine, and the Modem Net On Hold feature allows users who have call waiting to pick up phone calls without getting disconnected from the Internet. With just a few clicks, the user will be able to resume the connection after finishing the phone call.'' - no Modem On Hold or Reconnect are allowed in the FaxTalk included on software CD. |
