| I am a big proponant of budget-minded people like me buying refurbished systems. And I was not wrong here. This is a quality machine. The only drawback is 1gb of RAM is the bare minimum you'd want to run Vista. But that's not a huge problem, because for less than $30 (at a competitor's site) I was able to find the 2GB of RAM I needed to give this thing a little extra horsepower.
The only thing I'm truly unhappy about is that the product page says this has Lightscribe technology, which in fact it doesn't. For a few bucks, though, (again from a rival site) I was able to pick up a refurbished DVD+RW with Lightscribe.
So even with the upgrades, this is still less costly than buying new. |

| This system is really a waste of time and money. Do yourself a favor and don't buy this crap. I have it for about 10 days and I had trouble every single one of them. I had to restore many times and do a complete factory restore once. This thing is clogged with a whole bunch of factory software that is ridiculus. Memory is not enough, can't load anything because low memory. After doing upgrades for Vista simply froze. After rebooting few times went completely dead. Thanks God I had the factory restore disk done. Then started blue screening. After adding additional memory started to work a bit better. I should've expend an additional $80.00 and buy a Compaq from the HP website. I still thinking in doing so. I'll give this POJ two more days, if doesn't preform as suppose to, is going back to Globalcomputer. I'm ready to RMA it out of my sight. |

| fast ship from tiger direct. luv my new acer tower. i already have a 20' monitor i brought from tiger for xmas. the tower runs great, i had to use acer support. very fast response. order 4 gbs memory more. it's a great tower to have. i caught @ a good price |

| Did not need to turn computer on after receiving it. They case was visibly scratched and dented. After removing side panel, inside of case was full of dust. It is very obvious that this computer never saw the inside of a factory to be reconditioned. Very dissapointed with this purchase. Will be returning for a refund. I have brought many reconditioned laptops and desktops, and they allways look new. |
