| NO SPDIF output. How does this get 8 channels? You are right, it doesn't.
Some one messed up with description. Don't get duped if you want 7.1 channel. An optical or coaxial output is necessary for 8 channels.
Add 10 bucks and buy some thing with SPDIF connection.

| This Sound card is a piece of Junk. No Doubt the sound & Value is good. However, it will not install on 2 of my PCs. It intalled on 1 other PC. When I tried recording streaming audio it would stall the software and reboot WinXP and not record. All avenues of trouble shooting did not work and I returned it not being satisfied. |

| Can any one pls suggest me , how i can connect 8 speakers with this card , because it has only rear (2) center/subwoofer (2) suround (2)
slots , so total we can connect only 6 speakers
If any one can suggest me how to connect 2 more speakers. |

| an earlier review indicated the inability to pass AC3 multichannel audio through the SPDIF optical output. This is actually not the case. By downloading AC3filter (free, open source) passthrough of AC3, DD, and DTS is enabled from DVD or any other source such as multichannel divx and xvid. I've successfully done this and it sounds great. As a result I give this card 5 stars. |

| I bought this especially for my receiver. I want to hook up my pc with my TV in the living room and play divx movies. It was pretty easy to install and setup the software and the sound quality is not bad. I was very disappointed when I tried to play a divx movie with AC3 surround sound. The sound card output only two channels and the volume is very low. Wonder why they made the card like this. You've got everything on the card already. Why just output two channels? |
