| Paired with Logitech Z5500s and an Asus PK53 mobo - and using the optical output, this sound card makes me the envy of all the techno-geeks I know... when I blast the speakers (max volume!) there is NO distortion, NO rattles, crystal clear highs and gut-rattling lows... the digital delay on the rear (THX certified) speakers can be adjusted to be ''punchy'' with little delay, or you can make it sound like an auditorium by adding delay... If I have ONE complaint it would be that every now and then I completely lose the sound on this computer and have to reboot... not very often, maybe once a week or so -- more of a nuisance than anything else, probably a software glitch -- or a slight incompatibility with Vista Ultimate. BUT... that is like picking fly poop out of the grain bin. This is the best sound card ever. Period. |

| Of all the reviews no one seems to have used the SPDIF Out and hooked it up to a Home theater. I have a Denon 4800 series amp with Klipsch RF7 front, RSW15 Sub, RB3 rear. I built a theater PC and this sound card is a great match for a high end sound system. I put a Blu-ray player in and I can watch DTS and Dolby Digital movies. I can play UT2004 in Dolby Digital as well as Quake 4 with SPDIF out using Dolby Digital Live. My PC is running Vista Ultimate 64bit with 8GB Ram. Tech support is via email but they are fast and helpful. |

| I had Creative's extreme gamer sound card.Now this is mostly in response to ''JBass''.If you can't here the difference between these ''higher end'' sound cards and your integrated audio,you should have your ears checked.I returned my x-treme gamer and got the Auzentech Prelude.Now Creative's X-fi cards are very good.But if you want to go a step higher and get a awesome sounding sound card made with very high quality components(with swappable OPAMPS!) that would satisfy the ''audiophiles'' out there.I suggest the Auzentech Prelude.When i first paired my Klipsh 2.1 Promedias with it and cranked it up.My ears were ringing!120DB's!And no distortion! |

| the performance on this card is unmatch by many. great features and qualities. i have the logitech z-5500 and it increased all the great things on it. although the souncard was great, the speakers are disappointing. i wish the 1000 peak power on that was achieved by this card but yet to realize that the set up was terrible. i should have bought another set up as some others agreed to the same after buying the speakers. anyways this soundcard is the best on the market. |
