Diamond Xtreme Sound allows the user to experience high level, theater quality sound while watching videos, listening to music, and playing games all in true 7.1 channel surround sound. This is an essential upgrade for anyone interested in increasing their computer audio experience while freeing up valuable computer system resources.
Introducing Audacity, a multi-track recording/editing studio
Audacity can record live audio through a variety of sources, such as a microphone, or line in on the Xtreme Sound card. Level meters help monitor volume levels before, during, and after recording. You can dub over existing tracks to create multi-track recordings.
You can Import sound files, edit them, and combine them with other files or with new recordings. Export your recordings in several common file formats, such as WAV and MP3.
- Easy editing with tools such as Cut, Copy, Paste, and Delete.
- Use unlimited Undo (and Redo) to go back any number of steps.
- Edit and mix an unlimited number of tracks. Fade the volume up or down smoothly with the Envelope tool.
- Remove static, hiss, hum, or other constant background noises from your recordings.
- Alter frequencies with Equalization, FFT Filter, and Bass Boost effects.
- Adjust volumes with Compressor, Amplify, Echo, Normalize and other effects.

| I was looking for a card that would hook up to my Denon 7.1 I wasn't sure if it would work or not based on some reviews but for the price i figured it was worth a shot. At first i had problems with the drivers so I went to the website and downloaded the updated drivers. once I installed them the card worked great and plays in full surround on my system. I would reccomend this card to anyone thats looking for a low cost upgrade. |

| I give it a 5 all the way around. I don't care about the multi channel thing, and SPDIF, who cares. What it all comes down to if you are just a casual gamer and download a boat load of music, then this is the card for you. I also reccomend this card if you play secondlife as well. |

| I agree with Gtan. The digital output on this card only supports a stereo signal output. It will not output in anything multichannel. (This was the whole reason I bought the card.) From what I can tell, though, the Optical version of this card will do so, as will the Turtle Beach Montego. (If you look, they are really the same card.) If having multichannel digital out is not something you care about, then this card would probably work fine for you. |
