Ultra Micro Fly SX6
Micro ATX Case w/ 600 Watt XVS-Series
In the past, trying to find a compact case that is still versatile and truly
dynamic was a daunting task. But that's all changed now that there's the Ultra
Micro Fly! The Micro Fly can utilize any micro ATX motherboard, and because
the Micro Fly is 1.5" deeper than similar cases, it can accept standard depth
ATX power supplies and standard depth optical drives. Despite Micro Fly's compact
size, cooling is never a problem since the Micro Fly comes included with an
80MM fan in the front bringing cool air in, and a 120MM fan in the rear pulling
hot air out. The Micro Fly also includes front USB, Firewire and Audio Outputs
and is available with an Ultra XVS-Series 600W power supply with custom
length cables.

Love this for the $60!!! Built a music server and added an additional fan, works great and the power supply is plenty powerful enough to run whatever you can fit into the case. C'mon, it's cheap, works great, includes the PS, and it's SFF to boot, what's NOT to love?

Bought 2 of these cases because I was tired of that noisy tower setting under my desk and my wife needed a new computer. These things are nice. A little tight to work on, but everything went in on both of them. In mine I have a large long video card GT-9600 No problem. Was even able to get an OZC Vendetta cooler on the CPU with a little hacksaw work. I'm tempted to buy another just to have as a backup.Very, very nice SSF case. With this case case you can build a whole computer for what a Shuttle box would cost.

Nice little case although the one that I received had one of the plastic parts that the front door pivots on broken. I emailed Ultra about doing an RMA on just the front bezel instead of sending the whole case back and they said that I would have to return the whole case to Tiger. I just got out the epoxy and some plastic that I had laying around and fixed it myself. It's like brand new now. My config is a Biostar TA780G M2+ mobo with an AMD 5000 Black Box 2.6GHz OC'd to 3.1GHz. On it is a Zalman CNPS7500CU LED cpu cooler which fits like a glove in this case. A Sapphire HD 3780 video card which also fit like a glove, with a Thermaltake Dual Orb cooler to replace the stock. Now that was a tight fit. You can probaly get a piece of paper between the top of the cooler and the PSU. Everything is running great and cool even with everything OC'd!

I gave this a 3 on performance because the airflow could be better. Just dremel a few holes in the front and get a pci slot fan to make sure your system stays at a decent temp.
I added a small fan behind my hard drives to keep them cooler since the air flow of the case goes right past the drives without a thought.
Besides that, I am enjoying it.
sff ftw!
Got Enough
Memory? Bet You'll Need More!
Windows Vista and today's software
applications make much greater demands on your system's memory. Adding
peripherals, like webcams, USB hard drives, and complex Internet pages, all
take memory. Watching DVD movies, or watching videos on the web, or
playing PC based games demand increased memory. So take full
advantage of your system's potential, your operating system's enhancement
and entertainment capabilities, and your software's productivity by expanding
your system memory!
The best time to
add more memory is when you buy your system! Get the memory that's
right for your computer, whether laptop, desktop, or All-In-One.

Shared
Memory? Or Where Did My Memory Go?
Your computer uses memory to run your
Operating System, applications, peripherals, and to generate and display
graphics on your computer monitor. Video memory is a form of RAM, and is
either built into your motherboard; or on a graphics card (video card).
Depending on the motherboard's configuration, and that of the video card (if
separate or built-in to the motherboard), your computer may have to draw on
its own RAM memory to meet its video memory needs. This creates shared
memory, where your computer’s RAM will be shared between its own Processor
(CPU) and its graphics chip.
The result is that some systems will have
shared memory, some will not. If you have 2GB (for example) of system
memory installed, you may notice that your system reports significantly less
memory. This is because your system is using shared memory for your
video.
What can you do about this?
You can actually configure this shared memory through your computer’s BIOS
settings. However, this is a setting best left alone, since it is
typically optimized for display performance, and making changes may impact
display resolutions, and other video capabilities.
The simplest solution is usually to either:
increase your system memory; or to upgrade the video hardware. By
upgrading to a new video card with built-in video memory, then turning off
shared memory, you will free your system to use it's maximum potential
memory, and provide your system with much more robust video features.
How Much
Memory Do You Really Have?
When you look at the specifications for a computer, it will display the
installed memory, and typically the maximum memory that can be installed.
However, while these are real values, they represent a potential useable
memory. The actual useable memory may be different from these values.
The reason is simply that a computer may configured to use shared memory,
which reduces the amount of RAM that is available to the CPU by using
some of it for other purposes, such as for video memory. In some
cases, you can control the maximum useable memory through system settings,
and by upgrading to a video card that has internal onboard video memory.
But always
remember, that the amount of memory that your system reports, is not always
the amount of actual installed memory. If you find that you need more
memory, we suggest expanding your system memory, since this is the most
effective performance increase, and the one that is easiest to perform .
