| Just as the other review says: this motherboard is pretty good considering the price, and it works fine most of the time.
I guess the fact that Biostar lies about this boards capabilities bugs me a little more than the previous reviewer. Despite what it says on this page, and even in the motherboard manual...this board DOES NOT support FSB speeds over 800mhz. Tried to install a Core 2 Duo w/ FSB 1066mhz. No dice.
I dug around some more and found that on Biostar's website (very hard to find the page for this specific board btw...it's old)they only have processors up to 800mhz FSB listed.
They seriously need to get their facts straight on ALL of their advertising. I feel slightly ripped off. |

| Excellent motherboard for the price. I would have liked RAID capability. I also would have liked this board to support an 800 MHz bus speed, which all processors currently on the market support. But apart from that, this mobo has everything one could want or expect for a budget board. It is FAST with an E2200 processor and 1Gb of Crucial dual-channel memory on XP Pro. The drivers work very well and install smoothly, and updated drivers are available on Biostar's site if necessary - something that can't be said for some other manufacturers. |
