This is by Far the best removable hard-drive carrier I've ever owed. I must qualify that by saying that it's also the most expensive. So, I guess you get what you pay for. (If you're lucky)
I bought 3 full units and 4 extra cartridges for two computers. That allows me to have a removable Boot drive as well as a removeable data drive in one computer. The other is simply a removable Boot drive. I offen swap between XP and Vista. (Long story) (And YES, Mr. Gates, I own 2 copies of each.) The display is really cool and so is the Blue LED lighting. It just happened to match the Case lighting that I had.
I think my next build might be 6 of these in a Raid Array.

Easy to install and it looks awesome..I was freaking out a bit..I couldn't get the hard drive to start..It turned out that i had the key in the ''B'' position..That means the door can open but the hard drive is still locked out..It's a nice security feature that means no one can use my computer if i lock the hard drive out..Very cool..

Great Product! I use it with 4 trays as a backup solution for Windows 2003 Small Business Server. I hot swap the drives at the end of each day and it works great! I love the temp monitor and time features. Helps a lot with server management.

This is one of the finest removable drive cases I've ever owned. It was a little tight installing in a Media Center Case but well worth the effort. With the built in temperature and fan monitors your never in doubt what condition your drive is in. I'll be adding more to my collection.

I’ve owned mine for about a week now. It LOOKS Great. The issue I have with the rack might be a Vista issue. When I remove the drive it doesn’t say the drive is removed by Vista and as weird as it sounds I can view the files still. Can’t open them. If I try windows crashes. When I installed a different drive windows still “see’s” the one I removed and installs another one. It makes me wonder if I had 10 drives if I would have all ten listed… I really think there should be some kind of software that will allow you to remove the drive or at least detect when the drive is removed. I’m still waiting on a tech support e-mail from Vantec on this issue. Don’t get me wrong. I love the way it looks. But it seems I have a few kinks to work out. Oh one thing to be careful for. This drive is LONG… Check and recheck that you have the space for it. I had to move a few drives around to make it fit. Dimensions are 235.5x148x42mm.
