Cuisinart CBK-200 Bread Maker - Excellent Machine Makes Excellent Bread
I used to own a Hitachi bread maker and basically ran it to destruction with nearly 700 pounds of flour. It’s been a few years now without a bread machine and I had been feeling like I’d like to have one again. I saw the Cuisinart CBK-200 Bread Maker...

Pros:
Three loaf sizes, Three crust colors, 15 minute Power Failure Backup, Artisan Dough setting.
Cons:
Larger and heavier than most bread machines.
Bottom Line:
Easy to use and easy to make good home made bread.

For the Casual Baker who wants to experiment
I have been making bread twice a week with the Cuisinart CBK-200 Bread Maker for over a year now and am very happy with my purchase. I did thorough research on epinions.com and based on the reviews received and the price point, I decided that this was...

Pros:
Multiple crust, size and baking settings pre-programmed. Easy to clean. Price and sleek design.
Cons:
Timer somewhat confusing, can be noisy, manual removal of mixing padle.
Bottom Line:
If you want many options but are willing to trade some features for a lower price; this is the best bread machine in it's price range.

So far so good...mostly
Our old 2 lb Black and Decker finally died after 10 years (yes 10) and 100’s of loaves. We liked the look of the Cuisinart and thought the convection feature would be interesting. We have only had it for a month (approximately 6 to 7 loaves) and so...

Pros:
Loads of features/convection
Cons:
Workmanship is mediocre at best
Bottom Line:
Looks great, nice baking, concerns about longevity.

Noisy brick maker - back to the store!
My old Black&Decker broke down after five years of almost daily bread making. I bought my Cuisinart CBK-200 based on a previous review and considering the price was expecting something substantially better than the B&D one. I was severely disappointed...

Pros:
Nice stainless steel look
Cons:
Noisy fan (in mine at least)
More expensive than most other bread makers
Bottom Line:
Don't buy it. If you did, take it back. If you can't, sell it used. If you can't sell it, at least it's stainless so makes good scrap.

Tasty bread, speckled with Teflon flakes
We had success making good bread using one of the many recipes included in the users manual. Add the ingredients, and you have fresh bread in 3-4 hours. We have also used it to make non-standard recipes that we found online such as naan bread dough,...

Pros:
Styling, makes good bread, excellent manual & recipes.
Cons:
Teflon goo from paddle, and teflon peeling from breadpan.
Bottom Line:
If you like teflon in your bread, buy this product.

Great bread, including low carb.
Cons:
Pan can be difficult to seat and remove from machine.
Bottom Line:
It bakes delicious and attractive loaves of bread, and offers many loaf and dough selections (including low carb) along with a great recipe book.

Does the Job and Very Well!
When I went shopping for a bread machine, I passed this one up first because it is, quite frankly, ugly! Instead I bought a Black and Decker which I later had to bring back to the store because of a defect. When I brought that machine back, the only...

Pros:
Great bread, crispy crust, even loaves, even baking, ease of use, lots of recipes.
Cons:
UGLY! Outside hard to clean, paddle leaves some ingredients in the corners of the pan.
Bottom Line:
If good bread is what you want, regardless of how the machine looks, this is the one for you.

Consistent results. High on style and function.
***Update 10/20/2006*** Why did I buy it? I purchased this machine in Sept 2005. I purchased it based on the name and style/size. The stainless finish is nice to look at. What do you love about this product? I've had very nice results. It...

Pros:
It functions as it should, the recipes are nice, easy to use.
Cons:
None so far.
Bottom Line:
I recommend it because it looks good, works good, and is reasonable in price.

My first bread machine, and I'm happy with it
I've always been happy with the quality of the Cuisinart brand, and after reviewing the features of the various bread machines, I settled on this one. The machine is easy to use, easy to clean, and produces some nice bread. The instruction manual has a...

Loaf pan easy to upset if not in the machine
